Cincinnati: Mayor John Cranley
My bet is there will be less Cranley supporters and more Qualls supporters then than now. The demographics have been shifting towards Qualls for a while and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. This is the type of positive momentum which Cunningham praising OTR could conceivably thwart.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
That's a beautiful sight and even more so that it's happening in Ohio. Downtown St Paul looks similar with tracks being laid down all along 4th(?) since the Mpls side is for the most part all installed I think. Unfortunately, that picture is from Portland or somewhere else not Cincinnati. Ground has broken in Cincy, but tracks haven't been laid yet.

The Bike Subculture Thread
Speaking of bike polo, I need to get a chance to check out the bike polo court near UC. I think I heard it's the only public bike polo court in the country.

Hi, I'm wireless
As long as you have to enter a password the first time you log onto the wireless network with a new device, yes. The login info for the router is less important because you need to either 1) have a wired connection or 2) have entered that wireless password for a functioning wireless connection in order to get to the point where you can access the router configuration stuff anyway.

Hi, I'm wireless
I think it is referring to the user name and pw for logging into the router, hence I think the "wireless" in "administrative password, which controls your wireless network" is a red herring. In the router setup, look for somewhere to make a username and password but not in the wireless network section. Hope that helps. I can't poke around in router setup right now.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
Sounds like he is also positioning himself to run as the candidate against tax increases. Which pans out to being yet another "kick the can down the road" candidate.

Columbus: Bicycling Developments and News
Yeah, I think Cincinnati only has 2 so far. The one in Northside has a better design because you can enter it from the street, but the one in Over-the-Rhine is better positioned, right in front of businesses rather than around the corner. In order to keep rush hour use of the parking lane on Hamilton Ave. as a travel lane, they didn't put it directly on the main street. Glad to hear Pittsburgh and Chicago are also stepping up their game.

The vocals should be turned down on that track. I almost never say that (I hate when the music drowns out vocals). If they were lower, the guy could sing louder and he might sound more like a metal singer than a punk singer.

Cincinnati: Population Trends
IRS data doesn't pick up certain people like students or others who don't pay taxes and federal workers who are witheld for security reasons. This can lead to undercounts. Also, some people file with their residence as somewhere else in order to pay lower taxes or for other reasons. Census data is self-reported and can lead to inaccuracies that way.

Miscellaneous Ohio Political News
Is there any downside to doing this? Especially if individuals can opt out, like in Cincy, it just seems win-win-win all around. But there must be a downside, right?

Hi, I'm wireless
Do the trial and error method on these: 192.168.2.1 192.168.1.1 192.168.0.1 Sounds weird that your internet is slow with a wired connection. If you haven't already set up a PW, you will need to. That it says WPA2 doesn't mean anything -- no PW is no PW.

Springfield seems to have a lot of weird and/or outdated ideas. Unless it's just those ones you post, because I don't really follow the city otherwise.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
I know it's technically accurate, but it's a silly statistic to cite, because whatever it might be meant to communicate it probably doesn't communicate. How does its inclusion improve the article? Or help someone unfamiliar with Ohio River cities learn about relevant characteristics for comparison?

Hi, I'm wireless
The most simple way to get your email "hacked" (inaccurate word in this case) is to leave yourself logged in on a public computer. The second easiest is to have a really easy-to-guess password. All other ways of getting anything hacked go into the "lightning strike" category which jam40jeff stated. I'll give you a brief run-down of how you will set up the wireless security, but I don't know your exact router so I can't tell you for sure. You will type somethins like 192.168.1.1 into your web browser (like where www.urbanohio.com goes). Then you'll click "Wireless Network" or something. Then click "Wireless Security" or something like that. Select WPA2 from a dropdown menu. Type in a password of your choosing and click "Save". From then on, whenever you try to connect to your network for the first time from a laptop, iPad, or whatever, you will have to put in the password you created. Done and done.
