From Dayton. Been here in Sarasota, Fl since '84 , after 10 years in St.Joe, Mo. Would move back to Missouri ( Springfield) in a heartbeat, but my wife won't go back to winters.

Nice pics ColDay ! > Since I live in Florida, I'll tell ya'll the state is not all flat. A drive across the panhandle on I 10 dispels that notion. My area, Sarasota, is pretty level, but driving up I 75 there's a sharp change in topography North of the junction of I 4 at Tampa.

An aside here. The town of Chillicothe, Missouri was named for Chillicothe, Oh.

My grandfather is burried in Chillicothe. Took my wife down that way back in '81. Did the 7 Caves and Serpent Mound thing.

DayOh47 = Hometown & birth year

Dayton: Jonathan Dayton, a New Jersey senator, was just one of the land owners, and never set foot in the state. The other owners were, Governor Arthur St.Clair, Israel Ludlow and Brigadier General James Wilkinson. Dayton's name was chosen as the most pleasing of the four owners. The others had major streets named for them.
