  1. I'm ready to see what happens!!
  2. This makes me want to visit so bad! Haha. I really like the structure of all the old buildings!

Here's an article I found online. Apparently he wasn't fired, he quit to pursue other options. http://www.allaccess.com/net-news/archive/story/72520/after-27-years----john-bell-exits-z100?ref=sitemap

What? I didn't know that! Why did they fire him?!
  5. I think the "bleeding" part is overplayed. I have yet to see a St. Patty's Day fight. I only remember seeing one serious verbal altercation (this year). More like Drunk and Lascivious at Noon Day. I'd say otherwise. My best friend and I had just walked into Panini's on East 9th and the first thing we saw after grabbing a beer was a man with blood coming down his face, a huge gash on his forehead, and a bloody towel being held to his face by friends. It seemed like everywhere we went there was a fight. There was even a fight on the rooftop of Velvet Dog right before we left. That was definitely one place I would never want to see a fight escalade at... especially on a roof.
  6. They are tearing it down. Most of the structure is gone from what I could see this morning when I drove past it on my way to my school.
  7. I don't know what your price range is but if you are looking into downtown, then I would check out: 668, Walker Weeks, The Euclid Lofts, and Statler Arms. Places like The Chesterfield and Reserve Square do not have a washer/dryer unit in your room but do have washers & dryers in the buildings. As for Cleveland Hts & Tremont, I am familiar with them, but I cannot give you too much advice on places of living. My best friend & I are actually thinking of moving to Tremont this summer. I hope that helps :) Try: http://www.pluggedincleveland.com/apartments_for_rent/tremont_ohio/ Or: http://realestate.yahoo.com/search/Ohio/Cleveland/Tremont/apartments-for-rent
  8. This was such a sad thing to hear about and see. I used to ride my bike past there all the time when it was warm and enjoy its beauty. I'm really going to miss seeing it there and I hope they replace it or put something memorial there! :(
  9. The last two episodes were the first videos I watched. I do agree that there was a nice collection of people to represent Cleveland and express their love for this city. There are so man amazing and interesting people that live in Cleveland and the videos helped to show that. Now if only other people would realize that too, that Cleveland really is a wonderful place! totally agree. i just hope this series doesnt get lost in a bunch of "this is liberatarian propagada" backlash where nobody sees it because there is good stuff here. There was good and bad. Praising poverty class jobs at Wal-Mart? Bad. Criticizing corporate welfare for major sports teams? Good. I agree. Praising the fact that so many people work and rely on Wal-Mart wasn't the best idea. There are so many different local jobs just in the heart of downtown with a plethora of diverse employees. Why not interview them? I also enjoyed how they highlighted the fact that so much money was put into our sports teams and not too much to show for it. You need more than just sports to bring people into a city. You can go anywhere to look at a building, but it takes something special to keep bringing people back!
  10. Hello- I am coming from CA ( a very safe area not in a city). I have never really lived downtown in a major city besides Indy... Where are you looking to move to and what are you looking for place wise? There are many places to check out downtown: Reserve Square, The Chesterfield, Walker Weeks, Euclid Lofts, Statler Arms, The Bingham, University Lofts, Huron Square, 668, etc.
  11. I just wonder what you are looking for? Are you looking for a condo or apartment? One of my closest friend's mom is moving into 668 and she LOVES it there. She has been referring people there for the past few months because they are in a nice location, right in the heart of downtown, and they have double-paned windows to help keep the sound out. Some units also have a patio (which is the one she is moving into next month). She used to live in Huron Square, so you could check those out. They were very quaint and cozy in my opinion. But I would def. suggest either 668 or Huron Square if you are trying to stay towards the east and Bridgeview if you want to be near West 6th. I don't know much about the University Lofts due to the fact that they were recently built, but what I can tell you is they are right next to the bus routes, CSU, and the highway. I hope that helps :)
  12. You've never been?! WHAT?! You must experience it at least ONCE! It is so much fun & such a great experience!
  13. The people who made this are hilarious and the only reason I know about that video is because I am in it. Sadly, I am not one of the hotties at 7:10. Haha.
  14. This is a video that BarQuest created of St. Patty's Day this year. It can add the your festive pictures :)
  15. That is my exact culinary agenda too. Though I may just break down and try both when next in town. Both so exciting. I hope Dante opens a new place in UARD if he does well in Tremont. Chinato and Dante are tops on my wife's and my list as well. We're hoping to get to both in April. Tried Chinato Saturday night. My wife and I thought it was excellent. We each had a small salad and both were excellent. I had the Tuscan Onion soup, which again, was great. And we each had a small pasta, of which I would especially recommend the Gnocchi, but beware as it's not particularly diet-friendly (rich butter sauce). The only thing that I didn't particularly like was a small Fried Artichoke appetizer that we also tried. It was certainly creative, but it was a bit dry and tasteless. The Fried Artichoke app sounds like it would be delicious... I just might have to try that!
  16. Hahah. Thanks for making my day much more brighter with that video :)
  17. Gahhhhhh. I clearly cannot type today :/ I am pretty sure it's due to the rain!! aghhh! Haha. Thanks, I meant EAST 4th ;)
  18. Not trying to drive you to stick needles in your eyes! Please don't! I knew it was Chinato but I was in a hurry to type that as I was leaving. Sorry :(
  19. Thanks for letting me know! I don't go down West 4th very often! I never knew that :)

These are WONDERFUL photos! I live right where these were taken and it's nice to see others taking in the beautiful scenery that I get to see EVERY day :) :) :)

  22. Very interesting indeed! I'll be sure to check out the website!
  23. I believe it is safe to live downtown because as a 23 yr old female, I live downtown! My best friend and I ride bikes late at night as well as go for walks at all times at night. The city has done a lot to make sure downtown is well lit, especially on Euclid, which is where I always begin my bike rides (and usually end up in University Circle) on my late night rides. It's nice going down Euclid now that there is a bike lane so you can enjoy the city lights while enjoying your ride. What apartments have you checked out so far?
  24. Can I ask what Chinato's is?
