Oh, and one of my friend's mom is moving into 668 next month! I could probably talk to her to see if she can get you a special on rent because she has sent a lot of her work friends & various doctors/people there and from what I know they got a good deal too. The apartments there are really nice and decent sized, I especially liked the double-paned windows. It's nice to be downtown and have a quiet room. Haha.

I would check out Walker Weeks too. They are located on Prospect but they are not exactly "downtown" downtown. They are across from Cleveland State. I have friend who live over there and they love it. The one bedroom price might be right up your alley! Are you looking to stay closer to East 4th/East 9th area?
  4. I really like what you have to say. I am not going to say that I know anything about zoning laws, planning, etc. But living downtown is something I do know a bit about. I've been staying downtown for the past four years and being a college student, it has had its ups and downs. I only watched two of the Reason videos and actually found myself enjoying what was being said and gathering viewpoints from others, which I would not normally hear from. Maybe this is a step in the right direction? Make a couple of videos to show the rest of the United States to not give up hope on a "once-great city?" But if the city does start to "demand" something better, how many people are actually going to approve of the demands? How many people are actually going to say, "raise my taxes so that we can make Cleveland better?" From my point of view, not many, but it could be possible if they start demanding a change now on things that REALLY matter, not just a casino and medical mart for the time being. I know that I go back and forth weekly with planning on staying in Cleveland or not because of the direction the city is heading. When I first came to Cleveland, I was attracted to all the different place to go: restaurants, clubs, museums, etc. But as I have gotten older, places have closed, become unattractive, and some have lost their spice. I still enjoy the urban environment Cleveland has provided me but I am not exactly positive that bringing a medical mart or changing zoning laws are going to "bring Cleveland up." I work downtown in Tower City and can see the potential but if we continue to shun those away from public buildings, shopping areas, and great Cleveland stops, how can we build the city back? I am try to keep hope alive in myself about Cleveland but as of right now I can only keep an open mind and see what direction Cleveland heads in the upcoming years.

    That bothers me too! :/
  6. I can consider that if you have any good options. I am mainly walking because it's such a nice area but I have access to a car & the bus. So I don't want to limit my options! :-D
  7. I ride my bike past this park a lot and my best friend lives right around the corner from it. It will be nice to see the final product in person if it's feasible. I think it will be a great asset for more greenery in the downtown area for everyone to enjoy!
  8. These pictures are beautiful!
  9. Does anyone know of a good restaurant in the University Circle area? I am a fan of chicken & am in the area daily but I never know where to go for lunch. Any ideas?
  10. I've been to NOLA for the past two years, helping to rebuild the communities and surrounding communities. It's such a heartbreaking experience to see how much still needs to be done. There is still so much more work to do and not enough help. It's sad really because NOLA is such a wonderful place to explore and experience! I love it there!
  11. I went for a bike ride around downtown on Thursday afternoon & to my surprise, the Goodyear blimp was making some rounds around the lake! These are poor quality (taken via cellphone) but it was nice to see the blimp up close.
  12. Oh wow! I cannot wait to visit this and see! :-)
