Ohio LGBTQ+ News
If religion did not play a major role in this country, we would not be "One Nation Under God." I am not arguing anymore. Our opinions are our opinions and we can't change each other by arguing. I stand by marriage between a man and a woman. The US has been around for how long, and just now gay marriage is a major issue...

Ohio LGBTQ+ News
I believe in my moral values. I believe in God. I am a devout Catholic that tries to spread God's word by way of my actions and my beliefs. I PERSONALLY do not believe God intended for two men or two women to be married in holy matrimony, and I am sticking to it. Our nation is Athe greatest on earth because of our freedom of religion, but the backbone of this country is our moral principles in my humble opinion. Most Americans believe in God and many Americans vote on their morals. I don't vote on morals most of the time, I vote on many issues. And I vote Republican on many issues do their fiscal policy and foreign policy....

Ohio LGBTQ+ News
I've never once supported gay marriage and I never will. I do not believe two men or two women should be married. I believe in the sanctity of marriage and that marriage is between a MAN and a WOMAN. I am not all that surprised by the attacking replies I am receiving on here since this is without a doubt a board with those of the liberal political beliefs, therefore the moral beliefs of many conservatives are only represented by a select few like myself. That is my story and I am sticking to it. I don't feel any rights are stripped here... I just do not believe they should be married. The purpose of marriage is to create new beings to follow in God's Footsteps, and we all know that can't be done with two men or two women..... If no straight couples want to adopt a child, then open it up to those in the gay ranks to adopt, but thats as far as I will go.

Ohio LGBTQ+ News
I am in college. I know 3 gay kids who I talk with on a regular basis and have no problem with them or them having relationships. But to have them get married in my moral beliefs is not right. These gay kids that know me are well aware of my position on it and respect me for it. So stop putting words in my mouth. I do not hate anyone. Hate is a strong word. I am a strong believer in Moral Values and I believe marriage is between a man in a woman. I truly look deep into the root of marriage and try to develop an opinion of what God would view it as, and that's my conclusion. So stop the attacks on me because I support a ban on gay marriage. If you want it, couples can go catch a flight to Massachusetts or California..

Ohio LGBTQ+ News
Yes. Marriage is between a man and a woman. I don't have an issue with gay people as a whole because I know a few of them I have gone to school with and they are great people; but the last thing I'd want my kids seeing are two gay guys getting married on the steps of the county courthouse. I'd 100% support a gay marriage ban. They can go out and live together, but they should not get married in my book. What is this culture becoming!

Airline Industry News and Discussion
1. I run YNGAIR.COM. Never have I said we were getting service as a result of some Cleveland Airport; I have no idea where that came from. YNG did receive a $575k SCASD grant to attract daily airline service to a hub like Chicago, Cincy, or Charlotte. 2. Allegiant Air's passenger loads at YNG are some of the highest to Orlando of any city that flies there at about 89%. These loads are much higher than Southwest or Airtran to Orlando from PIT-CLE-CAK. Needless to say, they are not leaving YNG and never have considered it. 3. Allegiant Air is one of just TWO carriers making money right now, the other being Southwest. They will continue to expand and make money. YNG is lucky to have them!

More downtown Youngstown
The Taft Technology Building was dedicated yesterday. It is going to be a big boost to the economy of downtown. Also note, the Reality Buildings had a ribbon cutting last week to announce the construction of 26 apartments in the 14 floor building. They will be converted into 2 bedroom apartments and from the sounds of it, they are going to sell fast. Two other buildings will be renovated in the coming 2-3 years into apartments; making downtown a place to live once again! http://media3.vindy.com/vindy/swf_flv/flash_video/2008/may/realty_building.flv

Renovated John R. Davis Building in Downtown Youngstown
The proposed renovations to Federal Street. Originally the plan was to remove all the medians, but the citizens spoke against it. Now they keep them and the city gets the parking they want!

Renovated John R. Davis Building in Downtown Youngstown
Honestly, Downtown used to be the absolute pits; but so much progress is being done down there now. If you take a trip down 5th Ave. to see the historic home district, then thru Youngstown State and into Downtown; I assure you all will be impressed! h They are knocking that building down, it is the well known State Theatre. The good news is they are keeping the historic facade of the building; but that building and the one to it's immediate left on the corner are set to be long gone come next year. It will be used for parking, BUT the land will be open to any new development.

The New Ytown Blog got a great in-depth interview with Park South Development; a development firm owned and operated by New York City Developers. They have great plans for two of the downtown buildings; the Reality and Wick Building. They plan on a total of 60 large lofts between the two buildings, and even a roof-top gardens, like you'd find in New York. There dedication to downtown extends to the ownership of the National City Bank, Stambaugh, and the new GM Park Place. The City has given the firm a $4 million dollar no-interest loan, as well as a 12 year tax abatement. Their website is: http://www.parksouthdevelopment.com --- Youngstown-Warren: General Business & Economic News
Here is a video link of the ticker at work.... http://www.downtownyoungstown.com/misc/CIMG3668.AVI Looks good down there. I am excited about downtown. This building and the Wick are being transferred into Residential. A Brand New 5.1 million dollar technology center is being built. A new city law center is going to be built. The Paramount theatre has been bought and is going to be completely renovated into a theatre, with 2 movie theatres, one hollywood and one independent I believe. There are also ideas for a Youngstown Sports Museum down there. Downtown Youngstown is quickly being transformed into the place to be in the area.. Now if the business owners can come together and make sure every building has a business in it, then we are well on our way for our future. - Youngstown: Festivals, Music Concerts, & Events
