Columbus: Random Development and News
Qwios replied to Summit Street's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionYou gotta get people excited about the history of Columbus, convince them that it's worth taking note of or even better yet "saving". Also you guys can't be serious that there isn't a museum, there has to be some little dinky hole in the wall or basement museum about columbus that is just a general museum of sorts.

Cities with a square, a main street, or an intersection...
My home town of Aurora is an intersection, but an intersection of Aurora Rd, Chillicothe Rd. and Pioneer Trl. The town also kinda centers around E. Garfield Rd (82) where it crosses over the Chagrin River (Aurora Branch). One might also make the argument that it's a triangle with intersections at it's points where state routes 43, 82, and 306 all intersect. But let's keep things simple and call it an intersection.

Modern Roundabouts in Ohio
Yes, NE Ohio definitely has the round about/traffic circles. They're the same thing... I saw a few subdivisions in Orlando that had them at intersections and they had little brick buildings that housed everyones mailbox. But anyway, whatever Dublin wants to say so they can feel special... Going far off topic but while staying at my sisters house in Powell she gets the Dublin public access TV station and the radio station that plays on it was reading that months issue of playboy, I was told it was part of a reading for the visually impaired show... I thought it was hilarious.

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
As long as the building don't taper inwards towards the bottom like in the third picture I say good stuff. Wolsteins can have the east bank, Stark gets the WHD, Ratners get TowerCity/Scranton/whatever else. Lewis I guess gets University Circle, now only to lure Jacobs out of his "estate planning." Who did I leave out? Ahh yes the Lerners... and then on to our out of towners Quicken loans guy, Gund, and so on and so forth.

Cleveland: Cuyahoga County Gov't properties disposition (non-Ameritrust)
I just wish building an additional tower wasn't necessary for the new County site... It seems ridiculous when we're always hearing about office vacancies, that we'd abandon existing officies for newly built ones. That whole new development/expansion without growth thing. But pretty new buildings are nice aswell and could always serve and inspiration for others go get building I suppose however unlikely it may be.

Cleveland: University Circle: Cleveland Clinic Developments
I think I'm a lone dissenter as far as I like some of the other new buildings... especially in comparison with the drawing presented above.

Cleveland: University Circle: Cleveland Clinic Developments
That's the worst rendering I've seen thus far... I was walking around the clinic campus today, well now yesterday but I had a hard time getting out onto the street and back in. Too many fricking emergency exits with alarms. The construction barriers didn't help either. They're what forced me to take the skyway and then try and find my way down to earth from there. Getting back to the new building.. I don't think the clinic cares what the building looks like because a large portion of the people going there will take the tunnel from the parking garage on the other side of the intersection to get there.

Cleveland: TV / Film Industry News
Which movie was filmed in City Hall? I think it was city hall... or maybe it was another civic style building downtown... also had some shots outside in downtown as well and views of the skyline etc... All I remember beyond that was really bad bullet effects in the gun fights. In EuroTrip there's mention of a real mall (I can't remember it's name) and from a conversation I had with my girlfriend we surmised the guy might have lived in the Hudson area. So Detroit wasn't ghetto enough for Eminem's life they had to come to Cleveland... nice...

Lorain County Discussion
Holy crap, that's the entire population of Aurora right there potentially. Scary stuff.

CLEVELAND - Pinnacle update!
If it were up to me I'd keep the top the same and do something with the bottom columns only. Be it marble like etc... I would even go for some other color than white or white-ish if it looks right.

Where did you find Urbanohio????
UrbanOhio forums became required reading to understand anything MrNYC and KJP among others were talking about on Cleveland.com forums. So I've read and not said much (lurked) and not until recently actually joined as a member.
