    She told me the website was outdated and needed to be updated. The smallest 1bedrooms were at 950 and their studios at 850. It’s off my list though….

    I ended up walking in and talking to them. They said at this point the waiting list is 300 long but I’m sure many on that list have already moved on. I’m not sure how much I believe it though as they asked when I’d be interested in moving in. Why even ask if there are 300 waiting before me? I’ve also seen others on this website mention 668 when comparing other apts as if 668 had something available. They also said 1bedrooms were starting at $950 + parking which is more than what’s listed on their website. In my opinion (I could be wrong) is that they are just using a “list” to pressure walk-ins to rent at inflated prices on the spot… just my own opinion though.

    I hate to start a new thread about this but does anyone know if 668 is still at 100% occupancy? I put myself on a waiting list back in May 2010. Since then I’ve left 3 messages and sent 2 emails to see if they had any availability but no one has bothered to call back. Seems like poor customer service even if there’s no availability. Has anyone spoken to 668 management recently? Are they still 100% occupied?
  5. Management only wanted to do a 9month lease?? If they raise rent there’s plenty of places to move to downtown but you’ll be in a position to actually see the place first since you’re here… or just buy something at that point. I’ll be sure to toss eggs at your jeep as you drive by now!
  6. I owned a vacation rental property in Destin/Miramar boarder on old98 from 2002-2004. We purchased before the boom so with our mortgage and rentals we were close to breaking even. We had a lot of family use from it so looking back it was a good deal I just wish we were able to hold on to it longer and sell during the boom. I’m hoping for prices to come down to pre-2002 levels. For me, Destin and the 30A area were the most enjoyable parts of FL I’ve visited. I’m hoping to visit again this fall and see how things are doing after the oil spill. By the way there’s a new international airport in panama city now.

  8. A small grocery store like an “S&R Market” in Brookpark or a mini trader Joe’s type store. I would think there’s enough local traffic for a small grocery store to be successful, even if there is no parking.

  10. I recently sold my home in a west side suburb and looking to move downtown near East 4th street or within ½ mile walk to the Q and Progressive field. I’d love to be able to find a 1bedroom for $750 with utilities or less if that’s even possible. Are there any locations you recommend that are safe and I can walk with a laptop in my bag at 10pm? Is there a list of apartment buildings within ½ mile of gateway? Is that price range realistic? Is rent and lease length generally negotiable? Sorry for the newbie questions… first time renter…
