  1. One of my faves was the 911 call from 2009/10 timeframe whereby he made sure to remind the 911 operator that he was a "city council member" so she needed to give him extra special treatment when sending police to handle his claim.
  2. https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/the-gamestop-squeeze/ This was an amusing piece about how a bunch of Reddit followers and small time day traders cleaned the clocks of a bunch of institutional traders Robinhood style.
  3. Believe me, it is him being his narcissitic self. He has always done these types of things. Back when I knew him, he would engage in the same tactics. Someone would disagree with him on a policy point or make a valid point of contention, then he immediately fires back that the person who dared to disagree with him is a bigot, racist, homophobe, sexist, etc.. He then attempts to get louder if people do not take him seriously enough and will escalate things up the ladder. From what I knew of him back then to today, he is just a world class jerk, not just as a politician but as a human being
  4. For a guy who on one hand preaches empathy and understanding but on the other hand is quick to demean and insult anyone he disagrees with as inferior. This is a guy who thinks he should be mayor. Absolutely sad. I knew Chris many years ago, I thought he was an A$$ and a world class jerk at that time and hoped he would mature to develop a level of reason and understanding instead of just throwing insults at his detractors. Sadly, he has not changed. He often speaks of his time growing up and how he was bullied. You would think that would have taught a level of empathy in him as he is now in a position to wield power and influence. Instead, it has served as a tool for him to exact vengeance against those that he perceives enemies or just dares to disagree with him.
  5. I did not mean to discount that rates in Delaware are higher than many on average, I think the amount people pay reflect that, however, I think that given the median starting point for home value in Delaware county compared to say Cuyahoga County, you get that discrepancy. However, if you drill into things on a neighborhood level, I would almost wager that areas like Beachwood, Orange, Shaker, etc. which tend to be fairly well heeled inner ring Cleveland Suburbs with good schools and amenities are probably paying more in property taxes than the average person in Delaware county and likely have higher assessed milage on the property tax side. (I am just guessing at this) It is interesting down here in Southern, Ohio getting to compare the property valuations and assessments of 3 different states. On average, in Ohio it seems as if you can expect to pay between 2.2-2.8% of the value of the property in property taxes. In Kentucky and Indiana, it seems as if property tax assessments are between 1.5-1.9% depending on the location. As you get into larger property values, these rates make a huge difference.
  6. this is a bit misleading though. Housing values in Delaware County are going to be much higher than the average house in Cuyahoga county. Given the amount of properties that are run down and pay little taxes, the tax rate is ultimately the important thing to consider here. Just looking at the chart, the rate in Delaware county is higher than most in Ohio (it is blue after all), given its affluence, vs Cuyahoga, the question is what exactly is the rate. I would be curious what the rate in Delaware County and some areas there is compared to say Shaker Heights or Beachwood or some of the more affluent areas of Cuyahoga?
  7. Ohio has a very complex municipal tax structure that really harms its business competitiveness. Back when Kaisich was governor, his tax plan was designed to starve off some of the smaller municipalities and encourage them to merge with larger areas thus simplifying some of the taxing jurisdictions in the state.
  8. Its like that old dentist who lost his license for Mal-practice that constantly has his billboard up in Kenwood. I cant remember his name.
  9. I loved going into that place. it was pretty cool on the upper levels. i used to stop in there back when I used to be in Hamilton a few days a week. Very nice family that owned it. I was sorry to hear it closed.
  10. I read it has a ton to do with the fact that Sun Country flies cargo for Amazon too. Pretty much will bake in profitability for them on the route. I would not be surprised to see the amount of flights expanded given the fact they fly a ton of cargo too.
  11. dont think Seelbach every cared about PR. He just likes using whatever power he can have to exact revenge and vengeance on anyone who disagrees with him.
  12. OBJ is an aging Ferrarri. The older he gets, the harder it is for his skills to remain in peak shape. He will be 29 in 2021. How many receivers stay on the top of their game past 30. He likely has 3-5 decent years left if he does not get injured. Look at AJ Green this year, you could tell he lost a step, and he is about 2-3 years older than OBJ. Sell now. Draft a young receiver with potential to be the #2 next to Landry.
  13. Garry and Dillingham are a bit of just constant complainers and really do not bring much as far as legislative ability and ability to get things done, besides cause problems and create an advocacy platform. I think the city needs people who will not constantly just seek to cause problems. Bauman at been around and understands how legislation gets done and can work within the structure of council better. If there is anything people should have learned about council over the last term is that we need people who can work together and not throw expletives around on Twitter all day (like some current council member tends to do)
  14. Its been a while since I flew into mSP. I thought you could traverse the terminals there without going in and out of security? It was not easy, but I always thought that was the case?
  15. God I hope Dillingham and Garry do not win seats.
  16. I dont think it will get many people to Florida from Cincy, but they have a decent network in Mexico and also it may be used for connections to other US destinations to the West
  17. I pretty much figured that was the case. I just felt it was a bit ironic that an Airline like Sun Country, designed to send people to Florida and other warm destinations would be flying people from Cincinnati to Minneapolis. Figured it was for connecting flights of course.
  18. Because when I think of travelling to Sun Country and my tropical paradise, Minneapolis is the first destination that comes to mind...... Or maybe to all the Minnesotan's, Cincinnati is considered a tropical paradise to them???
  19. I thought it was designed to allow life insurance companies and other institutional construction lenders the ability to get additional tax credits on some of these larger scale construction projects?
  20. They can turn one of the janitor closets into a affordable housing unit (low income studio unit). Just like they do in New York,
  21. If the Browns got the ball back, I feel Baker would have led them down for the winning TD. They still had the momentum. Now with the offseason, what is the plan for Baker? Do they pony up the big money this year or wait another year and see what he does next season and risk having to pony up even bigger money?
  22. I think the Atlantic Coast of Florida is East Coast transplants, Especially as you get down to So Florida (Boca, FL, Miami Beach, West Palm). The Gulf coast is midwestern transplants, retirees. To your point, the pan handle is where the working class relocates, but they also relocate to Orlando too.
  23. I would think if Mallory runs he would have to be the favorite. From what I heard, while he may be formidable in the primary, Seelbach really does not have the support to make it out of the primary on his own. Mann is interesting and has the advantage right now, but will see how long that lasts.
  24. ^ I was always interested in what his next step was going to be. He will definitely be a formidable candidate, however, I do think he may come up just short in a primary. It all depends on who is in the race though. I like his chances much better than some but he would not be the leading candidate at this point in my opinion.
  25. DHL only has about 26 flights? I figured it would be much more than that. However, DHL is the smallest of the shippers in the US and most of their stuff is global anyway. Interesting. So with DHL at 25-30 flights Amazon could have 250-300 flights it seems? Fed Ex may have 5-10 flights? Does that sound reasonable or am I underestimating Amazon?
