MayDay has a good one- Nunya Dambidness. CPA's are all over in Cleveland- however if cost is a factor then that may severely limit your options. Where in the City are you? Also, accounting firms, like law firms, all have their own specialty/strong suit, so what exactly are you looking to have done? If in Mentor, I'd recommend SR Snodgrass...my first job out of college.
  2. thanks for the heads up...pruned it!
  3. The first shot is from the one-way alley between w.6th and w.9th, north of St. Clair and just south of Lakeside.
  4. There is a great park right off of rt 306, very close to the Kirtland Mormon temple, called Chapin Forest. This park overlooks an old quarry, and offers spectacular views of downtown Cleve. If you like skyline pics from 20+ miles away this is definitely a must see!
  5. Thats the anecdotal, mass media lists for ya, absent of any consistency and sense  Good for a chuckle

I wish I could get a pair of decent seats for $12! Not in Cleveland.
  7. I've been into Arcade Fire lately, this is a super talented band.
  8. Today as i was driving all over the east side looking for this great wing place, i saw a really nice midrise on 93rd and Quincy. Anyone know what this bldg is? It resembles a mini Vegas casino. BTW, I did find the wing place, its a tiny little store called Daileys, on 116th and Buckeye. The best jerk wings!

Burlington, Tampa, Detroit, and Greensboro are nice.
  10. Here was my superbowl menu: pan seared chilean sea bass with a pineapple lime glaze; panco breaded shrimp; crab legs; and mashed potatoes with freshly shredded asiago, sour cream, bacon, and garlic. All ingredients from the world renowned west side market. Beers: old 21 imperial IPA from Brewkettle; Edmund Fitzgerald from the best brewery in all of Ohio, and Founders breakfast stout.
  11. ^ chill dude, the browns suck, we all know this, take your noise outside of their forum and enjoy the superbowl... ya know the game that the browns and bengals won't be in anytime soon.
  12. Play nice now kids, cuz daddy has some money on the only game that matters this year. As for the Browns leaving again, I'd wholly support that, maybe when the team returns we'd get a better one. A new team certainly couldn't be worse. :-P
  13. In Cleveland; heavy / light rail, brt, bus; ColumBUS; Nati just I75; Dayton bus; Montreal / Toronto / Vancouver / Chi / LA- trains...hoping for London's underground sometime this year.
  14. Cavs win yet again, Ohio's only winning team right now is on a rampage! We are luvin the King!
  15. Browns and Bengals fans will share the same solidarity tomorrow on their respective couches tomorrow as two real teams play. I'm rootin for the colts...+5 :)

  17. Yeah, thats great news! Cleveland's restaurant scene has been blowing up and I'm sure will continue to do so.
  18. ^ yeah thats definitely a challenging station to catch your train. Also, when you are coming down the steps you need to make a quick 180 to go to the platform and in the process you come dangerously close to the edge of the platform, even in fine weather conditions this can be scary. Props to the new farecard machines, makes for quicker boarding!
  19. THE Ohio City! Love it!
  20. IMO's IMHO = bad; Morgan Street and Schlafly's = good. However, excessive consumption of Morgan Street and Schlafly products makes IMO's palatable.
  21. The obligatory 'river fire' comment was also mixed into this article. Thanks PD!
  22. Today as I was heading into work I saw a freight train at the grade crossing on W. 117th. The train was only pulling 2 or 3 passenger cars and on the cars was 'Norfolk and Southern'. Does this having anything to do with a West Shore Corridor feasibility study alternatives analysis study?
  23. I'd consider myself an authority on this topic as I used to live in Tremont and am now in West Park. The pros in Tremont: still trendy, proximity to downtown, great restaurants, even better bars. The cons in Tremont: like any gentrified Cleveland neighborhood you need to be careful picking your location as crime is more prevalent in some parts of Tremont than others, other con, public transit is bus only. Pros in WP: nicely kept single family homes, some nice bars on Lorain, depending on where in WP (it's a huge neighborhood) the red line is walkable, safe and secure- I've never been a victim of any type of crime. Cons in WP: decent restaurants are hard to come by, after the Regos closed there is now only 1 grocery store in WP, we'll see how residency effects WP, it shouldn't really but time may tell. All in all, I'd give the nod to WP if you'd like a nice single family home on a quiet street.
  24. I was making the point of cities with 'bash here' targets on their back not being exempt from the celeb shooting off at the mouth, ie Barkley and Cleveland or Stewart and Nati...thats all....understand?
