  1. I agree. Mike Brown will want something in return. Maybe a lifetime supply of GE appliances.

Never heard Votto talk so much.
  3. Just read today that TD Garden in Boston is getting a $70M makeover. That arena is only 20 years old. Seats 20K

All the Stooges are dead except Iggy. I rise your Stooges with the best concept album of all time. The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway - epic story, epic keyboard solos, epic lyrics that required an addition explanation in the liner notes, set changes, costume changes, make-up . . . in honor of Peter Gabriel's long over due HOF induction . . .

Cincy's own, The National made a movie! The back story for this doc/movie is pretty interesting. Here's the trailer.

It was time to celebrate. The real season starts Wednesday. @Reds
  7. it's worth pulling one quote from that article, "...but there may be more than that. Mayor John Cranley, a street car opponent, thinks it’s not about construction but about development with corporations investing millions of dollars into the development of the neighborhood."
  8. As long as there's a happy ending.
  9. Just a swipe of a credit card I hope. I rarely have cash on me much less change.
  10. The U.S. government keeps predicting we’ll drive more than we actually do Vehicle miles traveled, forecasts vs. actual: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2014/01/22/the-u-s-government-keeps-predicting-well-drive-more-than-we-do-thats-a-problem/
  11. The Freestore also has a building on Central across from Music Hall. IDK what that's used for. Ideally, they move to the Homeless Mall© in Queensgate.
  12. Nippert Stadium has a webcam. A few days ago a wrecking ball took down the rest of the press box. http://www.gobearcats.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/Nippert-Construction-Cam.html
  13. That roundabout is weak. They need the robot right in the middle.
  14. It's a burden being the cradle of coaches. Now that all the head coaches have been settle, time for mock draft projections. CB and OL seems to be the priority.
  15. When the Bengals Were Good It's hard to remember, but 25 years ago, Cincinnati fielded one of the most innovative and influential teams in NFL history. "...But the ’88 Bengals, the finest make ever to roll off the franchise assembly line, could step out of the DeLorean to take the field this Sunday and look startlingly up-to-date. Those Bengals helped give the league the no-huddle offense, the zone blitz, inside and outside zone-blocking schemes, and the general notion to spread defenses out to create mismatches — all building blocks of modern game plans." http://grantland.com/features/remembering-1988-cincinnati-bengals/

Meaning a concerted effort to bypass all cities big and small? An utopia of connecting podunk towns and suburbia?
  17. Jay Gruden is off to DC. He'll have a new toy in RG3. He was an inspired hire for the Bengals three years ago, but the offense has got to do something different after falling flat 3x in the playoffs. Also, Adam Zimmer was hired so I take it that to means Daddy is sticking around.
  18. We need to start putting Cranley's head on Christie's body
  19. Anyone following Chris "The Heavy" Christie lane shutdown drama on the George Washington Bridge? Not surprised. I thought this aerial shot showing the tolls could be close to what they would look like here.
  20. I found this interesting on how the tickets are priced. I still don't know what the league does with the revenue. "...All playoff ticket revenue goes to the NFL, which also sets the revenue target each team must hit for home playoff games. The Bengals’ target for Sunday’s ticket gross was $6.1 million, vice president Troy Blackburn said. After accounting for season ticket holders and fans who bought select game packages, the Bengals calculated the price at which the team had to sell remaining tickets, and established the $86 and $96 price points."
  21. I don't think the Bengals had this problem in 2005 and 2010. We've been in the playoffs so often I've might not have the right years. I was surprised to hear about Green Bay too, but from what I understand the NFL determines ticket prices and keeps ALL the revenue. The Bengals tickets are $96 and $106 including fees. Indy and GB have much wider prices ranges.
  22. If you have an AMEX card. They're offering $30 off on $150 worth of tickets from Amtrak. Any purchases must be use by mid-Feb.
  23. Mayor Awkward Cranley. He only mentioned Gold Star once. http://www.bengals.com/media-lounge/videos/Mayor_John_Cranley_Support_Cincinnati/7ab114cd-3333-4eba-b223-7472c76e3909
