  1. Beautiful set!!!
  2. Congrats. Leader is a beautiful building, glad I get to continue to visit to see Dr. Rosenblitt! K&D has really stepped up their game and is hopefully starting to shed their “questionable” reputation from the past. They have done a really great job w/the Halle.
  3. Regarding the Baker Building ^ Someone on Twitter reported that Sapporo Sushi is being forced to close at some point- I assume due to the renovation of this building, and I assume the other businesses (Daves, Souper Market, Moriartys) will face the same dillemna. With SO MANY empty storefronts downtown it would be such a shame to lose these businesses... It would be nice if they could fill up the retail around the parking garage at 800 Superior (Next to Phoenix Coffee)
  4. Hope they do something nice with Baricelli/Washing Place Inn. Its a great space inside and has a wonderful patio outside.
  5. I went from traveling practically every week for work to now likely not traveling again until 2021 at best... BUT- I would've loved a Delta CLE - EWR route. Nothing like flying to LGA hell to then treck across Manhattan to get into Jersey (I'm being dramatic, but still ?)
  6. It must be well past it’s lifespan, no? These types of aging bridges scare me.
  7. Omg. The Rockometer is finally happening!!!! ? I have a love hate relationship with these teases. Especially when they don’t come instantly.
  8. Love the fact that they are building this to connect to the trails. That is awesome.
  9. How much bigger are the Satlies than the river ships? Its amazing to see just the size of the ships that go down the river up close, those sea-going vessels must be huge.
  10. Given its somewhat awkward location I can see why retail would be a tough go, and with 25th and INTRO / WSM just up the street not a big deal to me. The design could be a little more inspired but I will be really glad to see something go there and fill that ugly missing tooth!
  11. I feel like it wouldn't be so bad if they could push them to the curb more... maybe they will move them. If they were more rectangular and skinny it would be better though.
  12. Sorry guys, the planters are staying- but the Prospect side is open!!! Love the historic-looking light fixtures.
  13. Woa, that one feels like it came out of nowhere. Very very cool plan for a unique property. The potential for spinoff is even more exciting. The gap between downtown and UC is closing.
  14. Now that I have started biking I realize how important this work is... so exciting to see and also I now realize how critical Irishtown Bend is for MANY reasons- including trail connections. Hope they can begin work soon.
  15. It's nothing spectacular architecturally but I am surprised by the height and love that all units have balconies, we really need more buildings like that. Outdoor space in an urban setting is such a huge bonus! Rooftops & balconies are needed for these buildings to stay competitive. More importantly I am excited for the activity this building and its residents could add to the area. The Superior Viaduct is a really cool urban space, but there isn't much going on aside from Luca. Not that I am calling for it to be as crowded as the High-line or anything, but I think it could be nicely enhanced with all the new projects nearby.
  16. Absolutely beautiful afternoon... and although it doesn't look like it in this picture, a lot of people out enjoying the North Coast Harbor. It could be so much more, and hopefully more development is coming- but I have to say, on a nice day it is a really beautiful and well done park.
  17. With a rooftop too! I think people are realizing you have to have some kind of outdoor space to compete with these rehabs and new construction projects... almost all of the new ones have roof space. I really wish K&D would have added rooftop space to the Halle Building...
  18. I like this idea... unfortunately RTA is not as creative as you. I wonder what the Metroparks would think of this plan? Canal Basin really a connection to so many things here- plus it will be interesting to see what SW decides to do with its current HQ/R&D site plus the B&O Building which is now close to all of this development.
  19. The Erieview plan really did a number on this area ?
  20. I didn’t notice until just now that Michelle Jarboe wrote the article! Another bit of good news. You’ve got your friendly competition back @KJP ?
  21. Seems like this would go here... good news! Mixed-income housing plan for vacant Warner & Swasey Co. complex in Cleveland lands key tax credits Efforts to salvage the former Warner & Swasey Co. factory — a long-languishing eyesore in Cleveland's Midtown neighborhood — gained traction Wednesday, May 20, with the announcement of tax credits for affordable housing deals. Philadelphia-based developer Pennrose hopes to transform the vacant complex on Carnegie Avenue near East 55th Street into 140 apartments. The $50 million project, a collaboration with neighborhood nonprofit MidTown Cleveland Inc., also would include 30,000 square feet of commercial space aimed at tenants focused on workforce development in technology and manufacturing. https://www.crainscleveland.com/real-estate/mixed-income-housing-plan-vacant-warner-swasey-co-complex-cleveland-lands-key-tax
  22. I'll add that since this all started Heinen's has been consistently busy nearly every time I am there- and that is often... multiple times a week. It seems to me they are doing fine. The only hit I am sure they have taken is the lunch crowd and events upstairs.
  23. Add another one to the list... Washington Place in Little Italy closes, including the Inn. This one hurts. Spent a lot of time there over the last 10 years and while it wasn’t quite the same in recent years it is still a great location. Hope something else can take its place... https://www.cleveland.com/entertainment/2020/05/washington-place-bistro-and-inn-closes.html
  24. WOW. I pay pretty close to that for more than double the space downtown. Demand must be good- if I didn't live downtown I would definitely like living in that area. Nice to see a development that can truly be called TOD, and embrace the RTA station in their branding and descriptions.
  25. I thought this was interesting. I was looking up something on the Towpath and when you go to the map on this website, they have the CVSR extending all the way to Tower City: https://www.ohioanderiecanalway.com/plan/planning-your-trip?county=cuyahoga#map If only that were true... hopefully an idea with some life still in it.
