  1. Maestro Tailor on E. 14th has been broken into a ton as well. Windows smashed every time. He has one boarded up right now actually.
  2. Wow... love all of this and hope some or all of it can proceed. It's so interesting to see at least part of the increase in interest due to the trail networks. Being able to access such a large unique area (the Flats) on foot or on bike all the way from Downtown to the Lakefront is such a unique asset. Its about time this property's potential is really seen!
  3. I have a feeling they wouldn't make them heavier to get them onto the roof ? sorry!
  4. The flats have so much potential, it is remarkable. I have been recently exploring thanks to the towpath and other trails. Its good to know people are starting to finally realize the untapped potential, I just hope they can save what is left of some of the beautiful original brick structures that remain and not demolish them all for new construction. I am excited to learn more about what KJP knows here!
  5. That is too bad, ate there for the first time last year and it was great! Also got hand sanitizer from the distillery ? I am worried about smaller restaurants that cant really reconfigure... think of the tiny places in Little Italy, etc... and then I think about NYC, where in many restaurants you are practically seated on top of each other. This is gonna be rough.
  6. Add Hartford CT and Sacramento CA to the list for Nordstrom... EDIT: According to Twitter also Chandler AZ, Freehold NJ, and a bunch more in CA: Riverside, Montclair, Escondido and Santa Barbara Sounds like they have notified employees at this point so Beachwood might be fine.
  7. Wow lets hope its not one of them... I hope I don't sound overly dramatic but I really feel that could be a death blow to BWM given all the issues they have had in the last few years. Having the only Nordstrom and Saks in this region is a huge draw. Without those, I fear they don't have a lot to stand on.
  8. Thanks @MayDay for inspiring me to go check it out! ? University is such a cool street, cant wait to see it with the trail... I just wish they would bury the utilities.
  9. I know many of you have posted some great photo threads on the towpath so allow me to share mine... While I had been down to the Scranton Flats section when it first opened, it was on a miserable damp day and for some reason I had not been back. I had no idea how well connected the trail is to Tremont right by Sokolowskis and had not seen all of the new construction until today. What an amazing asset this is- the Metroparks have done an incredible job. The Scranton Peninsula is just SCREAMING to be redeveloped... I hope to see that happen soon. This is such a unique gem, and very uniquely Cleveland. I dont think you can find the mix of city/nature/industry that exists here in many other places.
  10. Not a bad plan. If Marriott had an interest in putting a JW in Cleveland before this hopefully if things recover in the future they still will. That was a really big win.
  11. Wow that is disappointing ... without that component are they still able to move forward?
  12. I cant figure out how these things work... if you look at the last few pics the gaps have changed as they have installed. The notches at the bottom seem to just be a couple panels removed temporarily.
  13. Why is it so much worse on this building than the other two? I wish they would just clean 925 while they're so close ?
  14. Too bad about Constantinos though if you look it up the reviews for this location are not great. Hopefully something else will go in that is better run. By the way... has anyone ever looked up the reviews for the Uptown apartments ?? Yeesh... makes me question MRN
  15. Interesting stuff @KJP Now if we could just convince Sherwin Williams that this is a good idea... that photo of the Blackstone Building makes me physically ill. It’s bad enough to raze a beautiful building for a hideous building- which Cleveland also did it’s fair share of- but to tear something down for no reason other than a parking lot.... what a waste
  16. I know this shouldn't surprise me... but is there no effort by anyone at the City to take these things like the Design Committee remote? Its not that hard. Again I know this shouldn't surprise me. ?
  17. Well that’s good to know. I was worried they might have trouble leasing those two floors. I guess I am a sucker for a view. I am curious to know what the public space on the roof might be. We have two rooftop bars but not a true rooftop restaurant. That would be awesome.
  18. if you’ve never been inside it is surreal. I had a tour a few years ago and got to see it one more time after K&D bought it. Somewhere on here I made a photo thread of my first tour. I haven’t heard anything from my contacts at K&D these days but I think they were just planning to keep it as a private event space. If I hear anything new I’ll let you know.
  19. I love that they kept the historic frosting on the windows but that would drive me MAD to have my view blocked like that ? Would anyone really want that?
  20. It looks nice in person, so far so good. It would be nice if some of our other garages like those on Superior/Chester/Vincent that look like lifeless bunkers could be updated with cladding like this.
  21. From today
  22. They did a really nice job with Halle... I guess the idea was perhaps to go more traditional here ? Not sure. I much prefer the lighter colors and finishes they used at Halle. EDIT: @roman totale XVII our brains must’ve synced there and posted at the same time
  23. If tomorrow we found out about a new 25-story office tower in the CBD taking up a surface lot we would be thrilled. The problem here is setting the bar extremely high, and unrealistically, and then having to lower it, and then lower it again. Hope this is a lesson for waiting until you have a feasible project to release specs and renderings. That being said, agree with @CleveFan ... you cant say Stark hasn't done ANYTHING.
  24. The majority of the damage seemed to miraculously spare those details. I think they've removed the sign as a precaution while they repair the damage but after it first happened it looked- thankfully- just fine. Close call ?
