Cleveland: Ohio City: INTRO (Market Square / Harbor Bay Development)
Too bad but seems like a smart way to proceed, with PROCEED being the key word! Will the apartment portion be scaled back in any way or be built as original proposed in the above rendering? Splitting this into phases does not bother me at all and I hope they are able to proceed with the office portion at some point in the near future.

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
@Clefan98 Can you share how you know there is a date? Do you work there/know someone who does/was there an internal communication? We need sources or this is going to go off the rails quickly ?

Cleveland: Downtown: The Centennial (925 Euclid Redevelopment)
They have been renovating the Statler Arms. Most of the outside work seems to have wrapped up- not sure about the inside. It was a pretty major reno. Don't they also own 75 Public Square?

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
If they were moving their entire operation out of state could they really make an announcement in 90-120 days? That seems pretty aggressive for such a monumental shift. If they were staying put however....

WOW. What a cool view that is going to be... jealous! That perspective makes the 9 (AT) Tower look huge.

Cleveland: Downtown: May Company Building
It is so amazing what some uplighting does for a building. Love it!

Cleveland: Downtown: Cleveland Athletic Club Redevelopment
They are also working everyday on the ground floor retail bays and entrances / repairing and replacing the sidewalk etc. Not sure why it is dragging on but at least the sidewalk is *mostly* open. Looks like the last step in the exterior restoration is to recreate the pinnacles that lined the top of the building.

Great pic @MayDay ... much better view than what was happening INSIDE the park. ?
-
Cleveland: Downtown: The Avenue District
If this does well I would hope they could complete the block by building on the lot to the east... and then on the lot to the south (which looks freshly repaved... boo)

I can't imagine that this massive project which has been in the planning stages for years is potentially being held up/derailed entirely due to the demolition of one building... and now it is right back up on the CPC Schedule. It will be interesting to see what happens Friday.

Cleveland: Hotel Development
That would be pretty cool to have in Cleveland- they are very unique properties. I have never heard of one being proposed for Cleveland before... interesting!

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
On the one hand I don't like the slope blocking the view of the lake and the fact that the mall is just a big rectangle of grass... but when you see it utilized correctly, such as when the orchestra does the Star Spangled Spectacular, its perfect. ?♂️ 99% of the time though it just so underutilized.

Normally I would say I wasn't sure who was the more dysfunctional party- the city or Stark... but I trust Kerry McCormack and his comments give legitimacy to the argument that this is Stark.

Wow! Very nice pictures... and it must be early or I haven't had enough coffee because it took me a good couple of minutes to figure out what fruit store meant ??

Do you happen to know anything about the two empty retail storefronts on Euclid- I thought one of them was supposed to be a Chase Bank?
-
Cleveland: Downtown: The Centennial (925 Euclid Redevelopment)
@freefourur How close is close . . . ? In all seriousness this is such an important project- I don't think people often realize how massive this EMPTY building is. This will do wonders for pedestrian activity at a key intersection as well as down E. 9th and Euclid separately.

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower at Erieview & Galleria Renovation
I was going to say the same thing @bumsquare... I have always hated that bunker of a garage but I never truly knew what was there before. Just awful. That land is for sale so technically someone could wrap the garage and improve what we have now, but knowing what was there before makes me sick.

Cleveland: Hotel Development
@KJP did you happen to hear anymore about the Ohio Bell Building- if the sale closed?

Cleveland: Downtown: The Centennial (925 Euclid Redevelopment)
Don't mean to bump this thread with non-news but I was just snooping around trying to find SOMETHING on this project and came across this rendering on Loopnet that I don't believe I have ever seen before... Man this would be nice to see!

Cleveland: Downtown: The Lumen
Floor counts don't always dictate a certain height, it can all depend on the ceiling heights per floor- what utilities might be between floors, and the age and use of the building. For instance- One Cleveland Center is about 450' tall and has 31 floors. The Hilton has 32 floors and is only 374' tall. Key Tower is almost 1,000 feet tall (This does include a spire & crown) and has 57 floors- but there are some buildings that height that have 80+ floors.

Cleveland: Downtown: Gateway District: Development and News
Still seems odd they would spend all that money rebranding and re-signing just to close? I just walked by there and that entire area of Ontario between Public Square and Prospect is a mess... between all the vacant storefronts it is dirty, smelly, and unappealing to walk through. The May Company Building will help a lot but I wish they would do something and clean up the area. The trees in front of the Casino Parking Building (Whalburgers) are all dead, some are just snapped off- the streetlights are broken... its in a sad state. You'd think Bedrock would want to spruce things up.

We’ve gotten way off topic here. I know there are aspects of this project people don’t like- and the fact that it’s half the height it was isn’t ideal. But the fact is this is plugging a huge hole, is adding retail, and adding some real nice density to an area otherwise void of life! I think overall it’s going to be a great project and if it truly starts within the next few weeks I for one will be really happy.
