Cleveland: West Side Market News & Info
These renderings are great. This is so long overdue, I just worry about finding the money to make this happen in the near future.

Cleveland: Jack Cleveland Casino
The planters Bedrock installed around Tower City and their surrounding properties are wonderful and a huge improvement. The planters that the casino installed in front of their building, however, are atrocious and to make it worse they filled them with plastic plants. Please let this be some sort of change to that.

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
I’m sorry but I’m not seeing some grand new improvement or new vision at RTA. The biggest thing to happen is the purchase of new trains. But RTA continues to fail in so many ways.

Cleveland: Hotel Development
I think that is the plan- I was originally bummed about that but the fountain isn’t actually original. It was added in the 90s I believe.

If they build phase two on the parking lots west of the main tower I will forgive this low rise situation, haha it is what it is at this point and is still better than another parking lot.

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
At this point it’s totally unreliable and almost always not worth the hassle vs driving. That pains me to say because I would much prefer to take transit. But it seems to me the system will continue to spiral at least for several more years until the new trains arrive. Even then I wonder if the leadership is capable of turning this around.

This is a fun game. By my guess 5 of the "6 Areas" Downtown would be as follows: Lakefront Riverfront Magellan site (WHD) Playhouse Square / Greyhound area? Gateway (in the area near the Bolivar apartments?)

Lord that street is wide..... the midway cannot happen soon enough 😧

Cleveland: Downtown: Playhouse Square Development and News
^ I don't have pictures but yes - and they are also replacing all the LED ribbons and marquees throughout the square and in the plaza. Work has also begun on the Bulkley Building.

Cleveland: Downtown: Skyline 776 (City Club Apartments)
Looks to me like the rendering is just backwards, I think the patio WILL largely face towards the lake.

Love the sound of it but we all know how maintenance of lighting goes in Cleveland. So many buildings have lights out / totally off etc. within just a few months of install and nobody bothers to fix them.

Cleveland: Downtown: Skyline 776 (City Club Apartments)
Leasing info is now online and an office is opening at 200 Public Square: https://www.cityclubapartments.com/usa/cleveland-oh/downtown/cca-cbd-cleveland/ There are new renderings and details on the retail space, which seems to already be fully leased / planned out: J'Adore - 2 story French restaurant Cafe Tartine - Breakfast and evening wine bar in the lobby Green Box - underground speakeasy and performance stage Dogtopia - dog spa and day care I for one love this crazy architecture and COLOR on Euclid Avenue!

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
The argument of "why should we spend so much money on rail lines where ridership has plummeted" is a conundrum, because one of the large reasons ridership has fallen is that people are tired of the unreliability and constant closers. A rebuilt system with new trains that is fast, efficient, and gets people to more places would completely change people's view of the rapid.

Cleveland: Random Visualizations & Massings
I asked about this on the Hotel's instagram and they said that this is actually part of the plan still (as of now!)

Cleveland: Downtown: Skyline 776 (City Club Apartments)
Having balconies on Euclid Avenue is going to be so cool! We need more of that!

Cleveland: Ohio City: Bridgeworks Development
Can’t help but think of the irony seeing Bridgeworks passed over for a TMUD but breaking ground before the other two award winning projects will even break ground, if ever. Great to see this find a way forward

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
Whenever RTA has the new trains in service I really hope there is a huge PR campaign to announce what is basically a "new" rail system. I feel like we are going to get to the point where people totally lose confidence in the current rapid... and ridership is not going to stop falling with the endless shutdowns and issues. These trains are not going to make it 3-4 more years at this rate.

Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
Two late-night spots coming to downtown... first up and most notable, it seems DPDough is moving into 230 Euclid Avenue where Jimmy John's used to be. According to the door they will be open until 4AM! Secondly, I noticed a new spot going in at 1413 E. 9th (Cathedral Garage) called Pizza Melt: https://www.thepizzamelt.com According to their website they will be open until 3:30AM on weekends. Nice to see some late night spots considering downtown...

Cleveland: Downtown: The Avenue District
These came out really nice and have a good solid street presence. But it also highlights how barren, ugly and unwelcoming Superior is… if I lived here I would be itching for the Midway to start. I’m curious if the other side and other areas of Superior will look a bit better around this project.

Cleveland: Streetscape Improvements
Long long overdue. And hopefully things like this can be implemented in other parts of downtown. Now… for the love of all that is good PLEASE have a plan to maintain these!!!! Don’t let them go

When in the world are we going to get an update on the rail car order… there’s no way the trains are going to make it that long.

Nice!! The CLEAN Carwash on Carnegie is INSANELY crowded almost all the time. I can't tell you how many times I go there and turn away because of the line.
-
Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
What an incredible impact this will have. I also can't believe we allowed a parking lot THAT BIG to last for decades. Seeing those photos now my eyes go to the other two large ones nearby ... lets hope they are filled as well.

Cleveland: Hotel Development
A little disappointing that they’re removing the fountain but I guess it’s not actually original. I think it was added in the 90s.
