  1. Dont forget, Halle building and even Statler getting a renovation, this stretch is going to come alive!
  2. They’ve been upping their game with each building, I will get to see Halle next week but based on what I’ve seen it will be the nicest yet. They plan to market Terminal Tower as their flagship property, very high end so I would expect this to be done well.
  3. The airport is certainly busier within the last year and often if you arrive in the afternoon all parking is full. The garage fills quickly and if you are lucky enough to get in you are on the top floor. They have got to come up with a better solution.
  4. If it means something is actually happening there so be it. With a possible path forward for 925 and construction underway at CAC this is the last piece of Euclid to be renovated!
  5. Lots of updates in here both on 925 and Statler Arms... sounds like Frank Sinito will be purchasing 925 and undergoing significant renovations to Statler. Also makes the Hudson Holdings people sound very shady... "Sinito continues hunt for a 925 Euclid deal" "Real estate developer Frank Sinito is close to snagging another big downtown deal, taking on the stalled $270 million renovation of the Union Trust Co. building at 925 Euclid Ave. If Sinito, CEO and owner of Cleveland-based Millennia Cos., closes on buying the building or taking a majority stake in the project with current owner Hudson Holdings of Delray Beach, Fla., it would be his fourth blockbuster deal downtown in two years." http://www.crainscleveland.com/article/20180415/news/158241/sinito-continues-hunt-925-euclid-deal
  6. 1. I cant take anymore cold and snow! but 2. Its always interesting when walking downtown and finding a new vantage point where you realize how much of an impact the Beacon will make!
  7. I had to read the title over and then read the article and then read the title again... haha I think it’s just poorly worded. He meant strikes a blow in favor of and in support of a promenade and better access. But it’s an odd choice of wording.
  8. When you see if from that angle you realize how big this is going to be, a really nice presence on that corner!
  9. Very interesting. The Galleria is in desperate need of a complete renovation. I think there is a lot of potential here especially with so many workers in this area.
  10. Wow! I didn't realize the windows at Erieview were floor to ceiling. Very impressive.
  11. It’s for an RTA test. Thankfully. http://www.riderta.com/news/feb-6-2018-rta-and-battelle-testing-safety-technologies
  12. I wonder if this will replace the East Ninth Location... seems like a much better spot for staying busy year-round, while the E. 9th spot is usually only busy during the summer/Tribe season
  13. I swear sometimes there must be a committee for the city whose sole purpose is to create new ways to make downtown as ugly as possible. What is THIS. There are more along East 12th...
  14. You both beat me to the punch....but ill post mine anyways! haha
  15. Sorry if this doesn't belong. Wasn't sure where to put it? Looks like at LONG LAST the Lincoln Building is going to get a renovation. Its not as dramatic as I was hoping but ANYTHING is better than the current state of that eye-sore. The Westin staff must be thrilled. More photos on the Landmark Commission agenda.
  16. I was just sitting here looking out my window wondering WHEN in the WORLD this project will be done... Because it is clearly not. I have seen sporadic workers here and there but for the better part of a year (or maybe even more than that) I feel like no real work has happened and the entire top of the eastern-facing facade sits unfinished. Now I see they are replacing the concrete down in the plaza since it all cracked. What a mess of a project that IMHO looks worse now than it did originally... Anyone have any inside info??
  17. Great news, I think this building has been mostly vacant for so long that I forget how big it is and what an impact a fully restored building will have to the area.
  18. Last time I heard any inside scoop was that Gilbert intents to try to steer the mall back in a higher-end direction (whatever mix that might mean), eliminate the food court, and renovate the theater. After K&D is done with the Halle Building conversion it will focus its attention on Terminal Tower. By that time I assume we will know what Gilbert has in mind, especially since he now owns several buildings and properties all around this location.
  19. The latest I've heard: https://www.urbanohio.com/forum/index.php/topic,4266.msg883676.html#msg883676 Staying optimistic about this here. A S-W tower on the northwest quadrant would really complete Public Square. Unfortunately, I just heard some bad news that SW has dropped consideration of building a new HQ tower. That's all I got. Sorry. Not to beat a (possibly) dead horse... but is that really it KJP? We went from years of speculation about a SW Tower and a Medical Mutual building, and now they are both dead. Isn't SW out of space?
  20. That is crazy expensive but yea that ship is actually really nice! I would definitely do this if I could afford it. I hope it is a success, and a great unique way for people to see Cleveland.
  21. This is awesome news, Downtown Cleveland Alliance worked very hard to get EMS downtown and had many other downtown business including mine talk to them and answer all of their questions about relocating last year.
  22. It seems that Cafe Sausalito, which somehow is still going in the Galleria's second floor, is moving to the IMG building fronting East Ninth. Signs out front say coming soon: Sausalito on Ninth. I assume it is the same. Patio has been built out as well.
  23. Related to this, the Brickman project is still in progress but has changed in appearance (from that insane rendering we saw a while back). It will still probably be a multistory development but in the 10 or under range. Not sure on time frame but things are moving ahead.
