Cleveland: Worthington Yards (Warehouse District)
It is amazing to see in person. They will not be accessible to the public to my knowledge, however I was told on a tour that Cleveland Chop would be building an outdoor deck extension that would open up into one of the courtyards, so in that sense, the public will get to experience it partially.

Cleveland: Downtown: Cleveland Athletic Club Redevelopment
Nice article about the progress being made on the CAC Building: http://www.freshwatercleveland.com/features/CleAthleticClub120717.aspx Really shows what kind of shape the building was in and why it has taken so long to get to where were at today. This is going to fill in a very significant patch of Euclid. Now just waiting on JHB Building and 925 and we've got a complete street!

I came across this last night. Posted by somebody very much against the project, but holds some updates, I think? http://havecoffeewillwrite.com/?p=58654

Cleveland: Downtown: The Centennial (925 Euclid Redevelopment)
Is there any insight on what we are waiting for to see action at 925? I realize it is a massive project but...

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
KJP where do you honestly see things heading in the next few years? I don't see much hope and every day that goes by the fleet get older. Is there anything that can be done to save soon RTA before we come to a scenario like shutting down the rail lines? The fact that it takes five years to build a new fleet to order does not bode well for our timeline (if they went new). I appreciate all you and AAO are doing to advocate for transportation.

I don't believe this was entirely a location-based issue, as the Mentor location also closed last year.

Cleveland: Historic Photos
The Marshall Building was a great building... is it in the process of being cleaned in this picture? So sad all of this was lost and to make it worse it was lost for NOTHING.

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
I'm getting really impatient with the plans for Tower City. Now that Gilbert owns the Avenue, the land behind TC, the May Company Building, the May Co/ Garage, and the other building next to it on Ontario... you would think (or hope) that they have big plans for this area. I wonder how long it will be before the last remaining national tenants at TC change their minds.

Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
Not exactly earth shattering, but a Dunkin Donuts is opening at the corner of East Ninth and Rockwell. At least it is a nice use for a corner that has been empty for a long time and will add some much needed food variety to the 9/12 District.

Cleveland: Downtown: Standard Building
I took a tour of this building last week... they did a really nice job. The lobby is still under heavy construction but the apartments themselves are very nice, also the top level of penthouses will be rent-to-own which I thought was interesting.

A woman was attacked with a wrench in the Key Tower garage this week too.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
Interesting about Lakeview... that has to be one of the oldest housing projects still in operation, right?

Cleveland - Architectural Lighting discussion
Let the PNC Tower management know too... and the bridges in the Flats... at least there was a grassroots effort to get the Guardians of Traffic lights fixed on Facebook that proved successful!

I know for a fact that Downtown Cleveland Alliance is all over trying to make this happen and put together a presentation.

Cleveland: Downtown: Millennia's Garfield Bldg & HQ Developments
I went through and toured the space last week. If you haven't yet, just pop in and take a look. WOW is all I can say! They did a fantastic job making a cavernous space feel cozy and comfortable while not taking away from the incredible architecture. Out of all the bank conversions we've seen recently this one amazed me the most.

Also, Hecks express looks to be opening very soon.

What the heck has happened to the trees lining the Mall around the convention center!? Sorry for the bad quality, but big swaths look like they are dead. These were nicely maturing trees too! EDIT: Forgot about the Photobucket issues with posting pics, won't work for me. But the trees along Mall C near city hall are the ones I see appear to be dead.

Cleveland: Worthington Yards (Warehouse District)
I really want to live here... I had a tour once of that courtyard before anything had been changed. What an amazing space unlike anything else in the city. It felt like something out of Indiana Jones... Still cool now that its all cleaned up but there was something about the crumbling stone and vines that was awesome.

Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
I dont know the accuracy of this, but I heard over the weekend that the Mall owners raised the rents tremendously, almost triple (according to this person) and that led to Maggianos leaving.

I did see some workers in the so far vacant corner spot in the Schofield building at Ninth and Euclid...anyone know anything? May be nothing.

Cleveland: Retail News
Too bad, although the 5th Street Arcades still seem to be going strong. There has never been in my opinion, any big effort to draw people to the main Arcade by its owners. There was a lot of talk but nothing that I've seen. They need to do something to change people's perceptions that the Arcade is just a beautiful architectural photo spot with nothing more going on that a hotel. They put in Monica Potter and J3 for the RNC but never really had any signage or real way for people to know they were in there!
