  1. No pics but I can see from my office window that they have foundations poured. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. ^ Exactly. I'm torn on the bus issue because on one hand the new square seems to be immensely popular without them. The problem is nobody knows for sure yet how much or how little busses will impact the current environment. But more importantly, whether you are pro bus or not certainly this is something that should've been set in stone from the beginning. I am really shocked that they are pulling this now. As was said if Superior would've been out from the beginning we could've had a completely different looking product. The entire square was DESIGNED around Superior being open!!! 3. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with Public Square holding the event, it is more spacious that I thought it would be. BUT. I agree with you still, the mall in my opinion was absolutely perfect for this event. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Hmmmmm what are they doing ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I have always had great food at Crop Bistro but beyond that it seems like his other restaurants are just OK... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I really don't think it could've gone better. I'm shocked that I have heard or read essentially NO negativity whatsoever when it comes to the city and its preparedness for the convention. Unfortunately the fear kept people away from a lot of businesses for the week but I think the long-term benefits might out weigh this. People truly saw Cleveland in a way they never thought. From the delegates to the press, to the media celebrities. So much praise. Despite how you feel about the RNC itself this is truly THE year for Cleveland. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Haha you never know who we might get a compliment from! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Does anyone know anything about chickens on public square? Yes you read that right. A coworker of mine was riding her bike around this morning and saw chickens grazing through the shrubs in public square. Is this some kind of RNC thing? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Did you catch a Charizard? What I did catch was a wicked hangover. Might've been the best post I've read on here in nine years. Hahaha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I must say this morning just watching the various national news channels, Cleveland looks gorgeous. And several of the news channels are already commenting how beautiful the city is and what a transformation it has undergone. Fox News' panel just talked about how anyone who puts Cleveland down has obviously not been recently because it's an amazing city. It was so nice to see such positivity. Now let's hope it stays that way once the circus begins... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I think he's just commenting on the difficulty thus far of getting high rise residential financed downtown. Many cities are experiencing a high rise residential boom. I was just in Nashville and even there there are areas with many cranes in the sky. We are getting there... This project is very exciting for that reason! Get it built! 12. I was gonna say... Pretty sure the time for those kind of rents on a new project have come and gone. Unfortunately for me [emoji12] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I went through CLE this week too. It was very busy coming and going but smooth traveling and nice to see all of the renovations. The ticketing lobby looks quite nice Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. That doesn't look real. Haha I thought it was another rendering Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Wow! It's definitely unique although not what I was expecting. I will reserve judgement until more renderings are released. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Is anyone hearing anything about an impending renovation overall with Dan Gilbert now taking over? I know the Ritz will soon undergo a complete renovation and am hoping all of Tower City will receive the same treatment. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Wow that wall in Quebec!!!! Amazing. Isn't Weston looking into doing something with that wall? If I recall it was part of their original plans. I would assume it's way too costly to continue the terra cotta decoration to the back of the building. But a mural like that could be very cool. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I would assume that is temporary while they repair the clock. It better be, lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Definitely not good. I can't imagine being in downtown Dallas right now with an active shooting attack situation basically totally un-contained... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. This is absolutely infuriating to me. And I am sure it is exponentially more so to those like KJP who are so involved in Transit awareness. Has there been ANY progress at all in convincing the State to get their heads out of their ... and up the contributions? At this point things are looking pretty dismal for us.
  21. Monday July 11 is opening day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. This is random, but has anyone noticed a definite surge in the number of tourists and families with children downtown in the last two weeks? It seems like ever since public square opened I am seeing TONS of people who are obviously sight seeing and out with their children downtown during the week in the afternoons. Great to see, just curious if anyone else has noticed this?
  23. Noticed this morning that the Cleveland Trust clock was being taken apart and worked on. I know they were interested in making it work again. Would be a cool feature to have run again! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. When I heard Kasich had a major transportation announcement I thought could it be we are finally getting more state money for public transportation? Of course that would be ridiculous. [emoji849] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Thought this was pretty good news... Monica Potter Home and J3Clothing Co. (Who has a store on Chagrin Blvd and 91) are opening stores in the Arcade in time for the RNC. Not sure the nature of the stores but sounds to be more than just pop-up shops. Hopefully these will continue the recent openings in the Arcade.
