Cleveland: Downtown: The Centennial (925 Euclid Redevelopment)
This project will be transformative. But we went from first quarter to second quarter to third quarter... so I feel your pain haha. Will they start before the end of 2023? I can only imagine the financial complexities of this project and have faith that Millenia will get this done. But I am getting real impatient.

Cleveland: Scranton Peninsula: Development and News
@E Rocc Because they have sat on this vacant land for decades and refuse to have any conversations about a higher and better use for the property. I believe even Sherwin Williams was interested in possibly keeping their R&D center downtown on this property but they didn't get anywhere. @KJPhas talked about this before I think. To me, they could care less about what is best for downtown and the growth of the city.

Cleveland: Scranton Peninsula: Development and News
Great article from Michelle on everything happening on the peninsula: https://www.crainscleveland.com/real-estate/clevelands-scranton-peninsula-coming-life-after-decades-inactivity Exciting to see things happening but man do those Scranton-Averell people SUCK: As construction fences rise along Carter, it's still unclear what the neighboring land, dotted with warehouses and historic industrial buildings, will become. A representative for Scranton-Averell, the longtime owner of properties to the east and south, did not respond to an interview request. "We have tried everything to bring them into the development plan, and they have been resistant," Geis said, shrugging.

Cleveland: Retail News
Obviously Bedrock has its grand master plan for Tower City involving some very significant reconstruction, but we know at best this is many years away. I cannot understand why they (seemingly) allowed the last of the national retailers to leave (Footlocker, Bath and Body Works...) there is basically nothing left. And these retailers will probably not consider opening elsewhere downtown at the street level. It just seems like they are letting the place totally empty out. I hope that I am proven wrong but I still am not sure what their short term vision is?

How I wish we could burry these lines... :(

Cleveland: Tremont: Development and News
Would this mean they could finally burry all the power lines and utilities along the Towpath / University Rd?! 😁

Cleveland: Retail News
I was just coming on here to post this. Not great for all those who work at lower East 9th... I wish we could get a different option like RiteAid or Walgreens to compliment CVS instead of having two so close together.

Cleveland: Downtown: Gateway Megaproject
I wonder if any of Stark's LOIs from retail tenants would still be interested in Cleveland at this point?

Cleveland: Cleveland State University: Development and News
Don't get me started on that project... I know this is the CSU thread but PLEASE do not ask for a second Federal Building 🤣 That is the worst recladding I have ever seen and of course its such a prominent building in our skyline depending on where you are... I still can't believe that its actually finished... and that this was how the original project was designed!! Now we have a building that looks permanently "half-done". I truly hate how it looks and we are stuck with it. However, I have seen other re-skinning / recladding projects that came out great. Let's hope Rhodes Tower is one of those if this goes forward.

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
And is the desire still to have a new unified fleet? I am totally convinced RTA will completely botch this, sadly.

Cleveland: Downtown: New Police Headquarters
Hopefully this will spur the already-building momentum in this area! Now if they could start on the Midway ASAP I will be happy.

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
It is wild to walk down Euclid Avenue from Playhouse Square and see a building rising in the gap. This is going to make a HUGE impact.

Cleveland: West Side Market News & Info
Finally after so long things are moving in the right direction. My wish is that they FINALLY utilize the empty locker room space upstairs and provide much needed seating!

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
@KJPthis might be a loaded question but does anybody know where things stand with the railcar procurement? It seems like that effort has gone largely silent after the last RFP debacle.

Cleveland: Downtown: Progressive Field
The upper right field area is part of the planned renovation. The 'shipping containers' are universally hated, even with staff there 😄

Cleveland: Detroit-Shoreway / Gordon Square Arts District: Development News
Exactly. It’s always puzzling to me why there is so little high-rise residential development next to the lake. Lakewoods Gold Coast was built decades ago. Surely there is demand??

Cleveland: Downtown Office Buildings Updates
Of course we want companies to stay downtown but there is definitely a shift happening... I would swap a mostly empty building that is totally closed off to the public and only has a few people in it from 9-5 M-F to a full building of residences with ground floor uses 24/7. Hopefully something like that happens here. Rose Building is beautiful but totally underutilized as is.

Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
I don’t disagree that there are issues to be addressed but this debate usually leads to a locked thread. 🤷🏻♂️ I’m not sure what the answer is.

Hope the remaining trees survive... they look so nice. We already lost a few by Rebol :(

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
Its almost hard to fathom how much contiguous surface parking there was just a short time ago. Even though we have a lot left to fill, this is incredible progress.

So this would be right about where phase 2 would go. Any thoughts? Not saying it means anything, just curious! From tonight.

Cleveland: Downtown: Playhouse Square Development and News
Craig sounds great, I am excited to see what he does and he seems to be all in on Cleveland. But jeez, all that native 'woe is us' Cleveland mentality coming from Litt is ridiculous.
