  1. Yea I have definitely seen the DCA watering truck going around downtown. Several large trees between the Westin and the Aecom (formerly Penton Media) Building seem to be dead as well. I don't think the blame can be placed entirely on the city, seems to be a little bit of both neglect and the unusually dry weather. Too bad... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Wonderful photos. This year will be my ninth in Ohio and this thread just shows the massive transformation in such a short time from 2007. Can't wait for all the new development that is soon to come! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I don't see this struggling... Chick-Fil-A is extremely popular. The lunch crowd downtown will be very big I would assume. If this takes off I could see extended hours or even a second location downtown. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Chick-Fil-A opening in the Galleria! This is so exciting. Now granted I love me some Chick-Fil-A ... :) But can't hurt the Galleria to have a big name like that open? http://www.wkyc.com/mb/news/local/cleveland-chick-fil-a-to-open-in-the-galleria/259530611 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. This is going to be great, I was down at Merwin's Wharf Friday night and the place was vibrant and busy, as was the few new business on Columbus Road. Cant wait to see the momentum carry beyond these areas. So many great old buildings on Columbus waiting to be used.
  6. They are doing a beautiful job cleaning and repairing the Standard Building Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I just went through public square again and the transformation is almost unbelievable as far as pedestrian use goes. Of course it's still brand new but people seem to be really loving it. As everyone else has posted, people are congregating on the benches, sitting under the trees, walking dogs, children are playing, it's amazing to see if you haven't already. And just to add, I saw several DCA staff patrolling the square on foot and bike as well as DCA staff in specific Public Square uniforms cleaning and patrolling. Now we just need that fountain on! 8. Jeez this thread is like always at level ten... I thought the square looked great. We will have to wait and see what sort of security and maintenance is implemented but it JUST OPENED! Haha... Let's dial it back a tad.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. No. There are still trucks parked there because workers are still finishing things up.
  10. I just got back from PS. It was surreal actually to be walking there... and the place was already full! I saw tons of people taking photos, passing through, already saw families with kids, a baby playing in the grass... S&S Monument was full, it was just amazing! (And only 1 bum :-P :-D) All kidding aside, I hope the square can be maintained as it is now because it is beautiful! Side point I was on a walking tour with my family and grandma from California. She was absolutely amazed at the city's cleanliness and layout as well as architecture. She said the city planning here was incredible.
  11. I'm sure everyone has amazing pictures from the parade so I thought I would share mine. Despite the crowds and chaos I am so glad I went! It was amazing. I started the day at the office on the 30th floor: Our plan was to head to the rally but once we got onto the street it was clear we were not moving. Probably for the best because it ended up being a great spot. After hours of waiting we finally got the parade down to our end of East Ninth. I gotta say overall everyone was just patient and enjoying the moment. For that many people there were very few complaints. Dan Gilbert & family: Coach Lue was next: J.R. was the first player we saw and he was loving the moment! Kyrie: The crowd of course was waiting for Lebron and by the time he got to us he was too tired to keep standing up... haha but I got a few shots thankfully: After Lebron passed us, a lot of people took off and we squeezed our way right up to the front. This was the best part of the whole thing. I got to see the rest of the players right up close and even got a high-five from Delly! Channing & RJ: Kevin: Shump & his family & his hair: Delly was loving the crowd and they were loving him: Tristan: Mo Williams! Dahntay Jones: There you go! Crazy crazy amazing day.
  12. Wow what a flashback. The first thing i noticed is that the Celebrezze Federal Building looked better the way it was... haha

I thought I was the only one. I have to watch on and off of mute, looking and not looking, then walking away but checking my phone anyway. These games turn me into a MESS!!!! haha I have to say seeing Curry foul out then throw a temper tantrum and showing us who really is the baby might be almost as good as a championship for me ;) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. At long last you can all relax... it seems the monument sign for 200 Public Square is coming.
  16. I know everyone here seems to hate them but I can tell you the moment they were put out people started taking photos with them and exploring trying to find where they are all located. They will be a huge hit with most of the public and all kids! Haha you can't please everyone. Also: side point. The library is a beautiful building but have they ever thought of cleaning or repairing the Superior side? It's getting quite dirty compared to the Mall side... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Wow!!!!! That is depressing. But awesome. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. It seems odd that Weston wouldn't just buy this and tear it down so their project can go to the sidewalk. Its such a small footprint... We will see! I think this is a good sign for NuCleus... with all the doubt surrounding that project hopefully we see something soon as well as on the Weston project. Side note... I know this doesn't belong here but I was looking at the street view on this... does anyone know if there is ANY plan to fix up the hideous 55 Public Sq. garage right across from Stark's building? That along with the fact that theres a surface lot wedged right into the corner AND the prison on the other corner makes this intersection pretty awful.
  19. That whole report seems kind of ridiculous to me... Idk. Why don't we wait until the place is actually open! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have to say some of the commentating last night was driving me crazy. Until the gap started getting really wide around the third quarter it seemed like EVERYTHING the Cavs did was being spun as "well there's a 2 or a three pointer but the only reason they got it to go was because of BLANK!" Or if they scored they wouldn't comment on that but comment on "but what a play or what defense by GSW!" The bias is mind numbing. And Klay Thompson calling Mozgov dirty??? Green could pull out a knife and stab someone at this point and it would be a no call. Alright rant over... Lol I just can't stand GS. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well how things can change. My hope is half restored. The real question will be what happens Friday with Love potentially coming back... Should be very interesting. I think we all expected coming home to help a bit, and if they lost again I was hoping it would be at least a CLOSE loss this time, but I did NOT expect them to destroy the Warriors so completely. 22. I think the real exciting thing is that currently the only two Cantinas are in San Francisco and Chicago. The fact that Cleveland has been chosen as part of their next wave of locations is exciting in that we are being considered on a list of U.S. cities with an active urban center. This is their concept: The Taco Bell Urban Concept incorporates five consumer trends that balance relevancy and brand authenticity: Urbanization: The Taco Bell Urban Restaurant Concept reflects the Millennial trend of seeking more urban environments to live, work and play. These restaurants are ideally suited to fit in with pedestrian areas without drive-thrus. Digitization: Every point of the customer’s ordering journey is optimized through technology, including digital menu boards, TV monitors and Taco Bell mobile ordering and payment app pick up. Localization: Taco Bell incorporated the local architecture of the neighborhoods each restaurant serves. Yea, its Taco Bell. But I think more importantly it is a sign that bigger and better things could be coming.
  23. This is the weirdest thing but yet... I think it will be amazingly successful haha! We are getting a "Taco Bell Cantina" in the old Cadillac Ranch space (I think? Or at least part of it. 150 Euclid) I didn't know they had these. Its on the Landmarks Agenda
  24. There will be. A lot of dejected people are about to divert their heart broken selves solely to the Indians. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Anyone know if the Soldiers and Sailors Monument will be lit up at night? I thought that was part of the original plan
