Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
Yea I don't mind this for some reason. People will like it, photograph it, kids will play with it, I don't see it as a bad thing. That sail thing on the mall though.... And the Senior Games flame?! I walked by there yesterday and it just sits there in a muddy hole with fencing around it. That has to go ASAP Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cleveland: Downtown: Leader Building Redevelopment
Went to the dentist today in the Leader. They have cleaned the back of the building and the difference is amazing! I'm sure someone has an old picture but this used to be BLACK. Sounds like K&D is pretty behind schedule but making progress. Dr. Rosenblitt is moving into an amazing space on the first floor that used to be a bank. I had a tour late last year and even though it was in rough shape a lot of the original architecture was intact. The skylights are also being redone. Should be a great project. Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
Walked over to Public Square today and took it all in from the Soliders and Sailors monument. I have to say, the combination of the really nice weather, all the pedestrian activity, and the numerous people excitedly praising the renovation next to me made me really happy about how this turned out. Cant wait to see it open!

Northeast Ohio / Cleveland: General Transit Thread
I agree with what someone said above, to me for a rail system to be highly utilized in Cleveland it's less of a downtown loop system and more of a commuter rail system. If we had a rail system that reached far into all directions and could bring people in from where they live, it would absolutely be used. Right now anyone in a huge area of the southern/Eastern suburb's only option is driving to Green Rd or Van Aken, neither of which are conveniently located off the freeways, and traveling through the many many stops on those lines. The other option for the northern east side is the ride line terminus in East Cleveland which I'm sure many who could don't go to. The West Side red line is used more but still not optimally located. Beyond that, we have to make transferring EASY. right now it makes no sense. We actually have a system that goes to many destinations... The Stadiums/Q, the Flats, North Coast, Ohio City, Little Italy/Univ. Circle.... If we had a commuter system that brought people in and then had a very easy and convenient way to transfer lines, it would be used. Right now everything is so difficult and time consuming that most people don't even realize the places you CAN actually get to. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
Sam McNulty tweeted the HP Urban Website (http://hpaurban.com/portfolio-item/brickhaus-towers/) and Brickhaus replied on Twitter that there would still be a few tweaks to the final design. Scene picked it up from that exchange i believe

I THINK I read somewhere that they had a plan to replace lots of sick or dead trees downtown before the RNC Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cleveland: Downtown: Gateway District: Development and News
Those look great. Add it to the list of streetlight types downtown. Haha seriously it just makes me crazy. They were using a specific style of light on new areas of E. Ninth like the 9, County HQ, Schofield, etc. that match all the lights in the median of E. 12th. The lights are rounded and are an off white color. In the last week theyve been replacing some old lights around 1717 and the Amtrust building and are using a totally different style! Really?

Cleveland: Downtown & Vicinity Residences Discussion
I don't want to fuel a speculation fire but a couple months ago a contact I have who is very high up at K&D indicated they were in talks for a building that would be a big deal and would surprise people. Wish I knew more. I don't know what is possibly available that would be such a building. And it is downtown.

Cleveland: Downtown & Vicinity Residences Discussion
Random question. What is the vacancy rate of the Superior Building? I'm always surprised it hasn't been scooped up for a restoration and housing conversion. It's in need of some TLC but is one of our few great old tall buildings. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I thought the highly discussed new tower on Euclid Ave. was very close to being announced? Like a month(s) ago... Anyone hearing anything about THAT?

I spoke too soon. They are working on the building this morning, for the first time I have seen in months.

Cleveland: Downtown: A.J. Celebrezze Federal Building Renovation
Definitely an odd report... But nonetheless what a debacle of a project. Does anyone know when they plan to continue the recladding work ? I assume they've stopped for winter as I haven't seen any activity for months. I hope this thing is finished soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cleveland: Which Project Will Be Next and Why
I like the height and the fact that the tower is built to the street but thank god it didn't happen. It's too bad the PNC tower across the street wasn't built more like this design. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cleveland: Downtown: Euclid & 9th Tower / Schofield Building Redevelopment
They had signs on the planning commission agenda awhile ago. I've been wondering too where they are. I'm sure they'll be put up eventually. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cleveland: Downtown: nuCLEus
From January 2015: "The entire nuCLEus project could include 500 residences, 1,600 parking spaces, 200,000 square feet of offices and 140,000 square feet of retail, plus the hotel" Doesn't sound too much different to me? Just no mention of the Hotel. I won't be able to attend, hopefully someone you can fill us in!

Well... Not Windows but an improvement. I'm interested to see what they plan in their renovation. Especially the street level retail spaces.

Cleveland: Downtown: The Avenue District
Yes, it's the eastern most lot at the top of your picture next to storage place. Ok. Does anyone know of any plans to fill in those other lots? [emoji58] I wish someone would come in and fill in all the blanks, build the other two Avenue Towers, and start pushing development east.

I'm kinda confused. Is this the long skinny lot next to the self storage place? I'm looking out my window and I see three empty dirt lots.
