I am really shocked they would do this 2 hours before... maybe a windfall but people are going to be PISSED. They already took vacation days, paid for parking, etc. Wow!

Not sure if this is a sign of anything larger but I have noticed a scaffold on the Chester side of the building over the last couple of weeks, seemed like they were inspecting the facade. Today I was walking along the Chester side and noticed what seemed like some demo/construction work through the windows down below the street level all along the Chester side.

Nice! I wonder how they've been doing. It's a great location and I bet they'll do well this summer but unfortunately for the moment they're right next to and across from some of the last vacant buildings downtown.

I still am fond of the metallic Erieview Tower haha

Noticed something unexpected going up on the way home. From what it seems, Clear Choice LASIK Center will open in the 9 garage ? I remember originally they had proposed a deli in that corner.

Just when I thought I had accepted this place... the giant video board on E. 9th showed an advertisement explaining how soon you will be able to TAP THAT at the Wild Eagle Saloon. Yeesh... who is in charge of the marketing? I think they must have also planned the JACK casino campaign... :wtf: :wtf:

Valid concerns no question, but I gotta say if it does well and activates the space... I don't hate it. Not for everyone but I'm not gonna knock a new business in a formerly empty space!

The circle is a new roundabout that is being put in at the end of the pier I believe

While we're on the topic... Cleveland and PHS got a lot of love from special guests at the Broadway release last night. Some from NYC and LA, all were so impressed with PHS and the arts support in Cleveland. One of the producers of the show "Something Rotten" from LA said "I know LA is the entertainment capital of the world but coming here I have to say you guys are putting us to shame!" Pretty cool how PHS has really become a major player

I have waited a long time for Forest City to finally be out of the picture. I hope that DG and company really come up with something special. A large mixed use residential/retail overhaul could be a game-changer.

I don't know how accurate this is but according to the Instagram account cle_news, 515 will break ground in August.

I just want to know if they plan to DO anything. Renovations? Restructuring of stores? This will be interesting. New management could turn TC around... Unless they come in and run things exactly as they were before

Wow! That's great. It's amazing what exterior lighting like that can do to liven up a building. Even in an already lively area!

Someone else mentioned that on twitter. I don't ride the REd-line very often but how does it compare to the Blue/green? They're pretty awful immediately after Shaker Square.

Glad to see that area get some investment. Right now all that abandoned development is an eyesore. Maybe eventually this will cross-over to the Giant Eagle shopping center
