Cleveland: Downtown: Drury Plaza Hotel Development
They're working. I can see them everyday from my office. A lot of the work has been replacing the roof with copper. I'll have to pay attention this week and see if I notice anything

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
Can I ask you how the heavy rail investment RTA is conducting plays into the looming issues of not having enough train cars? it's a positive sign to invest in new track and build new stations but without some influx of funds soon what will it be for?

Cleveland: North Coast Transportation Center
Very interesting KJP, I'm pleased with this outcome and look forward to see how this progresses. The only concern I have is the impending issues with the blue/green/waterfront line cars. It's frustrating how we inch forward but have so many hurtles to overcome.

I'll be interested to hear what KJP says. This is a step in the right direction as far as location and connectivity to the walkway, etc

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
Did anything change from when this was postponed? Or is it more about the construction and not having to eliminate any detail now that we aren't in such a rush?

Cleveland: Downtown: Justice Center Complex Replacement
http://www.cleveland.com/cuyahoga-county/index.ssf/2015/09/cuyahoga_county_needs_new_downtown_courthouse_and_jail_officials_say.html#incart_river_home Cuyahoga County needs new downtown courthouse and jail, officials say "CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cuyahoga County officials have all but concluded that they must build a jail and courthouse in downtown Cleveland and then demolish the 40-year-old Justice Center between Lakeside and St. Clair avenues. County Executive Armond Budish has yet to report what he wants to do with the Justice Center, but a representative of the Budish administration and County Council members say spending money on renovations seems foolish. "The thing is falling apart," said council member Michael Gallagher. "I have not heard an argument that makes sense of putting money into the facility. It was built to last, designed to last, but didn't. It is poorly designed and has not lived up to what it was supposed to be."" Shall we have a demo party? :-P

From the Hilton website... Some interesting things here. I will be interested in who the chef will be, but sounds nice! His international menu will reflect the uniqueness of the three levels of our modern 224-seat restaurant, designed around the all-glass window views. Cleveland: Downtown: Hilton Cleveland
They have the frame up for the crown on top of the building, if you want to call it that. So now I think we see the final height.

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
Great picture. Would look even better if that bridge was lit up the way it's supposed to be It actually was partially lit but the lights didn't come on until later. I think they are working on the lights during construction of the water taxi stations, Coastal Taco, etc.

Cleveland: Hotels, Conventions, and Tourism News & Info
Lately there have been several weekends where I wanted a hotel and to the best of my knowledge there's nothing major going on, but all major hotels downtown are booked. I guess that's a good sign!

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
And a follow up to previous, was at Alley Cat for dinner and the whole east bank was packed and had a great vibe. Lots of boats and activity on the boardwalk. And some BIG money in yachts!

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
Went to FlipSide for lunch and it was delicious, and got very crowded very quickly! The space is small but nicely laid out. I think it's kinda cool how it's wedged in next to the rapid tracks. Also the outside and the patio aren't totally finished.

Exciting KJP. I really hope it works. This would be huge.

Cleveland: Downtown: Playhouse Square Development and News
Just wanted to say I was in the State Theater tonight and it looks AMAZING. The paint looks light, bright and refreshed, the gold leaf sparkles, it's really beautiful. They're still finishing up some of the walls but overall it really POPPED. I'll attach a picture of the ceiling but you need to see it for yourself. The detail in the dome is really crisp and clean and the chandelier had some extra sparkle. Great work.

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
Content Marketing World is in town bringing 3,500 visitors from 50 countries. Just thought I'd mention I've been listening to visitors conversations all day as people arrive. One I'd like to point out is between two young women who arrived from Canada. One took Uber from the airport which was quick and easy and the other took the Rapid. The one who rode the rapid was expressing some pretty strong dissatisfaction with her trip, citing the fact that there were very few others riding which made her uncomfortable (she was comparing her trip to experiences in Chicago DC and New York) and she also mentioned some confusion walking to her hotel from Tower City. Some of this is out of our control but if you see anyone wearing the CMworld badge, help them out! Hopefully we have more positive experiences going forward. On the other hand, everyone seems to love the city overall.
