Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
Awesome! Love that they are incorporating some Halle's history as well and the patio/mezzanine sound nice as well. Great news

I'll take some pictures this week with my ZOOM lens. You can see where they are building the roof bar and outside patio. According to the renderings the roof will pitch upwards to appear taller. Not sure if this is to hide mechanicals?

Oh absolutely. But if I could steal some of their skyscrapers.... I would! :)

The few times I am jealous of Detroit.... Wish we had some of those awesome high rises in Cleveland

Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
This chase thing is completely asinine. Especially at 1:30 AM?!?! I rarely agree with the Cleveland.com posters but at 1:30 AM traffic isn't exactly heavy on 490. They could've caught these idiots if they wanted to. And it's probably not the same people doing this each time. But all of them just get away except for the one who was killed. So frustrating. If people here on UO are avoiding Tremont (and I do feel uneasy going there myself) imagine people who rarely come into the city? This has to be starting to hurt business

I'm not fully visualizing where this is. Is this the building you pass on the Rapid coming into Tower City?

And really outstanding happy hour ;)

Cleveland: Flats Developments (Non-Stonebridge or FEB)
You can't recreate the Harbor Inn somewhere else. That building is part of the charm, or whatever you want to call it. I've only been there a few times but always think it's so unique and wonder why I don't visit more. Definitely a special place that shouldn't be demo'd when there are massive surface lots all around for building.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
Hahaha that's the first thing I thought of when I saw his name. My eyes saw Sasha Kaun but my brain only saw Chaka Khan

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
Hmm... I think Cleveland got the better deal...

Cleveland: Retail News
Except that Jones New York went out EVERYWHERE... so despite some of what you say being true issues, none of that affected JNY closing.

Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
Yes. I've never really felt unsafe or anything but I have never been stopped or asked for money as much as this summer. Compared to other large cities I've been to Cleveland's panhandling is fairly light, but just an observation that it seems like it's increased.

Cleveland: General Business & Economic News
Cleveland's next boom: Office space http://www.freshwatercleveland.com/devnews/officeboom081715.aspx Positive article about office space but also this quote: "The vacancy rate for apartments in city of Cleveland is lower than Chicago, Brooklyn and Los Angeles. That's not a joke. It's harder to get an apartment in Cleveland than those three places."

Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
I've been trying to figure out the deal with that space. They have signage up but no online or social media presence... Hope it works out because the last place (Table 9) was a flop

Regardless of whether or not CPD is doing this for clicks, the fact that these crimes are happening is disheartening. I really hope they catch these @&$!?*#%

Cleveland: Hotels, Conventions, and Tourism News & Info
They have renovated the Hyatt but the retail part of the arcade until now has fallen flat. However Rising Star and Pizza 216 are filling in vacant spots at either end of the Arcade so hopefully things will pick up.

Cleveland: Hotels, Conventions, and Tourism News & Info
Hey they planned to do just that in the 90s... So it's obviously possible.

Cleveland: Hotels, Conventions, and Tourism News & Info
The article has been updated (from Michele) and now has some quotes from Skyline including possible plans to develop street level retail on Superior and reopen two empty restaurant spaces as well as add a spa.

Cleveland: Retail News
As long as Forest City runs it, it will continue to fail. Someone needs to step in and buy it ASAP, put in some $$$ on a major overhaul, and I really do believe it can be a success. Sadly so far everything has just been rumors of a new owner... Hopefully soon

Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
Just to be clear the incident at FWD with the three men fighting was completely separate from the alcohol/drug induced drowning at Settlers Landing. Some people here had tied the drowning to FWD. I just don't see how these are anyone's fault but the people involved making stupid decisions.

Cleveland: Downtown: Euclid & 9th Tower / Schofield Building Redevelopment
Speaking of which. I emailed Heinen's a couple weeks ago asking if there was any plan to light the outside façade of the rotunda. They weren't sure about that but the person who responded said Geis is currently trying to fix the clock.

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
Yes. There is lighting under the rail that illuminates the edge of the walkway.
