  1. They are continuously working on the parking garage they bought on Rockwell so it isn't completely stalled.
  2. Took a tour of the 9 this afternoon (WOW! Those pics coming later...) But took a few of the Schofield while outside and on the Azure roof bar. Amazing to see the details coming back to life. Looks great.
  3. Not sure where this belongs but KJP I believe prophesied this ;) "75 Public Square office building sold to Millennia Cos., slated for apartment conversion" http://www.cleveland.com/business/index.ssf/2014/09/75_public_square_office_buildi.html#incart_river
  4. MayDay I happened to find myself at the very beginning of the photo thread and looked through some of your pictures from about 10 years ago in 2004/5... the transformation in the city is remarkable to see. These pics are awesome, so much life on the streets now!
  5. Not sure if this should be in the Public Square forum or this one. The Public Square debate: RTA's Joe Calabrese is "cautiously optimistic," but seeks info about the impact of a redesign on bus transit http://www.cleveland.com/architecture/index.ssf/2014/08/the_public_square_debate_rtas.html#incart_m-rpt-1 I dont know how I feel about this... I am not a fan of the way Calabrese responded to most of the questions. :| And the commenters are not happy ... :-P
  6. I know there's been some controversy over the branding and look of the signage... But I really like these shiny letters. Maybe I'm crazy :)
  7. I think that's what this means. Fast! "@DowntownCLE: " @The9CLE residential units are 88% leased. Tenants begin moving in tomorrow." Take a peak of the concierge living: http://t.co/r48YC2EJn9"
  8. According to twitter the 9 is 88% leased and move ins are starting tomorrow
  9. http://www.crainscleveland.com/article/20140826/FREE/140829823/construction-will-start-next-month-on-parker-hannifin-downtown-ymca More information on the start of construction for the Y but also a very interseting tidbit in the article... aparently the rumor is that a portion of Erieview Tower may be turned to residential
  10. Now if they would just fill the old Bread Co. space right on the park... I know it was something briefly but it lasted for like less than a month. At least it seemed like it
  11. They were taken today but don't worry I just happen to catch it at a weird moment. There were lots of pedestrians. ;) They were putting up the scaffolding (they whatever you call those) while I was taking it so a lot of people were going around.
  12. This is the first I've heard about this but after doing a little research I found this blog article from earlier in the year with some concepts. http://www.gcbl.org/blog/2014/04/legible-london-firm-reveals-clevelands-secrets
  13. Feel free to move, not sure if this would be the right place. From the YMCA Twitter feed: "@YMCACleveland: Just announced by Y CEO, new Downtown Y groundbreaking Sept 23. #cuethefireworks #ygala"
  14. Is Heinen's really going to have the largest selection of beer and wine in ohio? Wow
  15. I think on the wall in between Terminal Tower and the Renaissance Hotel there is lettering that says Ritz Carlton, the Avenue, and RTA Rapid etc. But it's definitely not really highlighted or clear
  16. I thought the exact same thing... That would be quite a bathroom experience
  17. It's the Stadium Mustard which really sets it apart. Yes Lord! Once I give a NYer Cleveland Mustard, they are hooked. I'm in California right now visiting family and have had at least three occasions where I desperately tried to find something close to stadium mustard. No luck.
  18. Interesting but unlikely. The Ritz is about to renovate the exterior of the hotel with some more renovation announcements coming.
  19. Good news... That stretch of 12th has very poor curb appeal. Hopefully this will make it a nicer walk. With Perk Plaza right there and Playhouse Sq just down the street the Chesterfield needs to improve...
  20. Looks nice. I like the vertical white beam of light up the building
  21. Awesome. I can't believe the pace of all these development announcements lately...
  22. Well this is potentially major news... Let's hope this leads to positive change at Tower City
  23. Stop everything. Our retail prayers have been answered. "Creative Tees is NOW OPEN @ShopTowerCity next to Victoria Secret. Finally, a new t-shirt shop that does airbrush!!! pic.twitter.com/pcDIYJj3FX" Finally!
  24. That is correct! According to this article posted today they are opening for good on 8/9. The Bank. 200 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland; Twitter: @BankCleveland; Opening: Aug. 9: One of the biggest plans has also been one of the quietest. "That's the intention," says co-owner Donnie Burton. "There's a lot to do, and we want to make sure we get it right." Yes, there is a lot: a bar-restaurant in the old Barroom spot and a club in the back area behind the old Cadillac Ranch, in the May Co. building. "We're going to have two http://www.cleveland.com/entertainment/index.ssf/2014/07/clevelands_nightlife_revival_1.html I'm a little confused. I knew that place was in the works but thought perhaps it ended up not happening. Can someone clarify how the space is laid out? I always thought the Barroom space and Cadillac Ranch space were basically one but from this article it sounds like the Bank is only taking up the Barroom space, and Cadillac Ranch's space will remain empty. However they have been doing work on the outside of CR lately including removing the car and lights etc. PS... The May Co. canopy is in dire need of at least a paint job...
