Cleveland: Hotel Development
That's so cool! I work right there and see it everyday but didn't realize it looked like that at night. Been to Urban Farmer twice. A few missteps both times but it just opened and overall I like it and think it will be successful. Normal kinks with brand new restaurants. The Westin is beautiful inside. Really cool lighting and art. Just wish that eyesore across the street is addressed soon. AHEM. LINCOLN BUILDING.

They came yesterday afternoon and removed it. I did notice that for a few days half of the neon wasn't working so it may just be getting repaired. I wouldn't think the whole thing would need to be removed for that but who knows.

Pittsburgh, downtown 2014
Wow really awesome! I'm a little jealous that Pittsburgh has such a collection of tall older buildings. Seems like they didn't suffer as much demo in the 50s/60s as Cleveland did

WOW that is big... plus theres another one on the south end of the garage. I believe there is supposed to be some kind of cafe/deli put in this corner too, right under the video board? I wonder if theyll do anything else to make that garage look better

Aside from the skywalk that is a really cool picture, so many architectural eras and styles in one frame with beautiful trees and flowers on each end

Cleveland: Downtown & Vicinity Residences Discussion
I've said this before and it's far fetched but could the configuration and floor plates of 925 support a department store in the lobby and lower levels? I've always thought it would be an amazing way for retail to come back. :)

Cleveland: Downtown & Vicinity Residences Discussion
Great article from the WSJ about empty office buildings being converted into apartments with most of the focus on Cleveland and the Residences at 1717 (East Ohio Gas) http://m.us.wsj.com/articles/SB10001424052702303626804579506073419741570?mg=reno64-wsj

Unfortunately I think it's the metal panels themselves that have discolored... The windows too. Trust me after they get washed there's no difference. Wonder if Citigroup Center In NYC has similar issues? Anyhow back to Westin... There's some activity in the parking garage and it looks like something will be done soon regarding it's appearance. Hopefully those rails are replaced and they do some painting

Cleveland: Downtown: Playhouse Square Development and News
I got lots of video I'll share after it's edited down. What a great night though, despite the huge crowd that could barely move at some places, everybody was laughing and just going with it. The ONLY thing that wasn't planned well maybe was that the stage should've been on 14th and the crowd should've been funneled down Euclid. When the lighting and fireworks started, everyone on 14th was blocked from seeing

Was wondering what happened with this. Great news, and the website gives a nice look at the improved entrance. Looks like a restaurant is planned here? Very nice. Love the momentum ;)

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
I have a question: who is in charge of maintaining the lighting if the Guardians of Traffic? Not long after they were lit, most of the time I drive over the bridge at least half the lights are not working. It's so frustrating that these sorts of things can't seem to be maintained properly.

It looks way better than it did at the beginning but... Eh. Thankfully the impact of the project as a whole overshadows this bland building. I wish I could afford a sky suite ;) very cool

Cleveland: Downtown: Millennia's Garfield Bldg & HQ Developments
I read the article in a hurry so I'm sure it was clear, I just didn't connect the dots. ;) Great work, as always Michelle! A quick google search shows what the building looked like originally... It would be nice to get some more windows back into the base. Does anyone know when they modified it?

Cleveland: Downtown: Millennia's Garfield Bldg & HQ Developments
Well, we don't know yet where the 200 employees will end up in the CBD. Garfield will be apartments and retail. As the story notes, Millennia is looking at other downtown buildings for a mixed-use redevelopment that would include its headquarters. So that would mean more apartments, plus the offices. Michelle Thanks for clarifying! That's actually better news

Cleveland: Downtown: Millennia's Garfield Bldg & HQ Developments
Great news on the Garfield. Not only the apartments but 200 employees! And importantly not just a downtown office shuffle but actually new to downtown. Maybe this will spur something across the street.... Say on top of 515??? :):):)

Thankfully it looks like they are taking off the parking railing... I think. If you look at the right side you'll see the difference. And the new sign is up.

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
Rode a new red line car today- looks great, also the red line cars now have the same LED bar but in red lights obviously to indicate the line. Nice touch!

Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
I like the plan overall and appreciate that they show winter in the rendering! Most renderings show beautiful sunny spring days and nothing else... I have to ask though- still nothing from RTA on what they plan to do here?

it's cleaning up especially the right side by the tower. You can see certain areas that are very clean and sparkly! Can't wait to see the whole thing done
