Cleveland: Downtown: Playhouse Square Development and News
I think this might help. It'll definitely liven up the dead zone. It's like downtown just drops off after 12th and then reappears at CSU. Would be nice to keep this moving north and really bring 9/12, Playhouse Sq, and CSU together One thing I was going to mention (someone said it up thread I think) is that this is a total destination spot. Everyone I know even if they don't visit downtown often are super excited that were getting one of these, and will visit no matter the location. Also i would imagine playhouse Square is one of the top places people who don't live in or frequent downtown often visit. So I don't think we need to worry about its success

With all of these restaurant changes does anyone know whats going on with the potential Hofbrauhaus? There was mention of it on the planning comission agenda a couple weeks ago and then nothing seemed to have come out of it...?

Saw a Green Line train coming into Tower City tonight with a bright bar of green LED lights on the front display and side display of the train. Maybe Jerry can answer... Is this being done on all light rail cars?? It makes it incredibly more efficient!

One positive I heard on tv through all this was that due to the cleaning, areas that hasn't been touched in some time are being cleaned and supposedly it will look awesome when it's done

Cleveland: Downtown: Cleveland Athletic Club Redevelopment
When I saw this I thought it was an ancient thread of some long-dead proposal. Shocked this came out of seemingly nowhere. Lets hope they push through and MAYBE get some hotels at the other end of the street MOVING. (I'm looking at YOU "le Meridien")

What a mess :( I can't even imagine if this would've spread. What a disaster that could've been. Thankfully the alarm systems worked, the guard was alert, and the fire department was quick!

I can't wait for this. Although I will be using the North Coast station. Hopefully they really educate riders about this big change. Btw, if a person got in at Green Road would all trains proceed onto the WFL or just certain ones? Or maybe they're going with a diff schedule than back when it ran full service before.

Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
I post this to the UO'ers since I know someone knows! What is the history of the building that currently houses TOMO? Anyone know what was there originally and how long it was vacant? A friend from work recently went and said the food and drinks were good but the whole place had a strange vibe. Like the owners were running a front for some shady business. Hahaha I guess I need to go check it out. She was told a "questionable" history of the building and I want to know the real deal.

I've been riding the rapid to work regularly since July and one thing I have noticed is that VERY few drivers make any effort to alert their passengers if there is an issue or if there's confusion to which line they are. It's very irritating. A simple announcement would be so helpful in these instances.
