Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
Just took the waterfront line (only person haha) from Northcoast to tower city so I could transfer to Green line. I really can't wait until its running full time. Does anyone know the frequency of the green vs blue line trains running thru waterfront when it was running full time? Anyways got some great shots of FEB which I will post in the appropriate thread

Cleveland: Downtown: East 4th Street Developments
Im most excited about this long-unsightly gap being filled in and now turn my eyes down Prospect towards the Goldfish group of buildings and the May Co.... Between those and the couple surface lots (one can wish) I can't wait to see what happens next now that the momentum is continuing.

Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
WELL... its finally here. What do we think? I don't know anything about the restaurant but this is in my opinion a huge development for the area... Cleveland: Downtown & Vicinity Residences Discussion
Some heavy activity along the back of the Old National City Bank Building today. Lots of dumpsters along Vincent with workers in and out hauling out debris and bringing in supplies etc. tons of bags of concrete stacked along the sidewalk too. Is this due to conversion of the upper floors to apartments?? If not, I apologize for posting in the wrong thread!!

Metro Cleveland: Road & Highway News
Not sure where to ask this... But are they finally replacing the fencing, lights, and repairing the concrete on the Valley View bridge? They have barricades along both outer sides and looks like they've marked the concrete.

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
Im not so concerned as to what is closing etc, I just wish there was some formal information released as to what is happening if there truly is something changing at Tower City!!!

Cleveland: Downtown: The Avenue District
Hopefully good news and hopefully they will fill up quick. There's so much demand and supply isn't coming online quick enough!

Cleveland: Hotel Development
This morning a group of people came out from the Westin with vests and hardhats and then walked around the Penton building. Seemed almost like a tour or something, but the first activity I've seen in a while!

Cleveland: Downtown Office Buildings Updates
Anyone know the status of Parksides move to the former Ferro corp building on lakeside?? While walking by today I never realized how moribund that side of the road is from ninth to twelfth. The only decent looking spot is right in front of the AT&T building.

Cleveland: Downtown: Euclid & 9th Tower / Schofield Building Redevelopment
Any updates on the Schofield tax credit review that was supposed to happen at the end of June?? The tax credits and the project are still under review by the Department of Development. Based on what I've been told, we might have a final decision by the end of August. And it's unlikely that ODOD would pull the credits out of the project, but they want to see serious progress, indicating that construction will start in earnest this year. Michelle Hopefully great news! Thanks for your insight.

Cleveland: Retail News
I can't believe nobody has said it yet! Tiffany & Co. is coming, as expected, to the Berger location in Eaton. I think we pretty much had established this happening but still, official word has arrived. http://fox8.com/2012/07/24/tiffany-co-to-open-store-in-northeast-ohio/ Unfortunately I believe this means it will be a Tiffany 'lite' so to speak...

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
I wish we could find out whats going on with Bridgeview. Its such an eyesore in its current condition but could really be something cool, and the location is pretty great.

Cleveland: Downtown: Playhouse Square Development and News
UDPATE: Otto Moser is not closing, their lease is still effective. The others however, are. There doesnt seem to be anyone who knows what PHS's motivation is behind this change, but the Chinese restaurant and Acapella are thinking of posibly moving to 14th St. to build out space there.

Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
A few more I took with my actual camera today. I really can't wait for the mall to open up again. I really think its going to be a great space and I hope it is utilized to the full.

Cleveland: Downtown: Playhouse Square Development and News
Omg don't even joke about that... Haha. I'm very hesitant to post things based on rumors, but it seemed like a direct enough connection to be valid. My coworker Attempted to contact some of her previous coworkers some of which are higher ups at Playhouse Square but she was unable to get a response. According to her, this all came about very suddenly and apparently quite shockingly at least to the owner of a cappella

Cleveland: Downtown: Playhouse Square Development and News
Sorry to burst your bubble, but I believe that was also one of the restaurant being closed. It was pretty much everything in that location. My coworker with heading over there after work to talk to her friend, so either way I will know more on Monday!

Cleveland: Downtown: Playhouse Square Development and News
Alright. My coworker knows the owner of acapella and the story is that star, as we know already, but also Acapella, Otto moser, and m oko have all been asked to be closed by I believe Monday.

Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
Also glass is in place above the ballroom at the overlook. Looking good!

Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
The glass is being installed around the base. Quite a bit done, I didn't even notice! Most of it seems to still has the protective film but there's a section where it's already removed.

Cleveland: Downtown: Playhouse Square Development and News
I heard something today about star not being the only restaurant being closed. I can't remember specifically but supposedly several others in that building are being let go. Sorry to start rumors; I was just wondering if anyone knew more

Cleveland: Downtown: Playhouse Square Development and News
I guess I just meant more the willingness to convert, not the physical ability. Cleveland seems to have an obsession with parking lots and parking garages so Id be surprised to see one given up for residential. Thrilled!!!! but surprised :-D

Cleveland: Downtown: Playhouse Square Development and News
Yes!! That building is in such disrepair but converting a parking garage back to usable space as residential? Seems pretty UNLIKELY... :(
-
Cleveland: Downtown: The 9 / Rotunda / County Admin Development
Some activity tonight as I drove by wondering why the heck I didn't take the rapid like usual...! Several county vans and a car parked by the rotunda. The loading doors were open and all the lights were on in the rotunda and the lobby. There were people in and out but maybe those who've worked downtown longer can say whether or not this is unusual.

Sailing in Cleveland
Wow! Those first two pics make our skyline look huge! Sometimes the unfortunate spacing of the buildings give the 'gap' effect at certain angles, but I don't think Ive ever seen the directions you've captured! Nice.
