Yes KJP just go into the Marriott and go up the escalator. Big windows and perfect view of the construction!

Cleveland: Calfee Building (Rockwell and East 6th)
The preview event I posted about a while back was postponed to February and when I drove by the building today, it seemed like there was still a fair amount of construction still underway both inside and outside. The parking garage is only about 2 floors off the ground. I hope they wrap this up soon! Of course I want it to look great... but I'm getting antsy for Schofield!

Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
Pictures from Friday... theres a lot of new activity and building where Public Auditorium meets the CC... and the last shot shows the MM in relation to surrounding buildings. I'm guessing where it is now is roughly the height of the final buildling?

Cleveland: Cleveland State University: Development and News
Haha I always think the same thing whenever I share an article with someone. It's almost shockingly unbelievable yet for us here it's entertainment...IE the barbed wire fence. Wow.

Cleveland: Random Quick Questions
I have no idea where to ask this... :-o Is the Federal Reserve lobby open to the public? I see on the website they no longer offer tours except to groups. I think that sucks :( but I was wondering if one could go inside at least to see the lobby...?

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
Interesting! When I first read that I wasn't too sure... but I looked it up and sounds like something thats definitely in demand. Just the little info I looked up was full of comments of people asking for a store in their area. There are very few in the US. SO this means it would be a draw. It's not a top designer but it's definitely not low end. A step in the right direction for sure! And I don't think the garage delay is going to affect the casino. They're opening regardless.

Cleveland: Downtown: Playhouse Square Development and News
This is such great news, hopefully this momentum continues. The position of the Annex building on Prospect is encouraging, that area needs some help. There's so much life coming into the Euclid side and then prospect is like a dead zone. Here's the beginning of that changing!!

Cleveland: Downtown & Vicinity Residences Discussion
What's the deal with the Park Building? I've been here for 4 years and there's always been all that signage for apartments but I never knew if they were built or a planned thing?

The four light beams on the right side of the picture are supposed to be the lights from the Towers of Light Wow, I wonder if they'd really be that visible...?

"This is the urban version of The McMansion Estates at Pine-Studded Deer Crossings Amongst the Whippoorwills." That may be the greatest subdivision name in history. LOL

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
Here is a view from the Ritz Carlton. If its going to be taller than the crane and the crane is still 100 feet shorter than where it will be, its going to be quite a bit taller the the Pinnacle

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
2 new bits of info! My parents were staying at the Ritz Carton this weekend and one of the employees was showing them the skylight room (former Century). It's currently available for private use but he mentioned Dan Gilbert's purchase of the hotel and said its always a possibility that the space could be open again full time. One of the shop owners is Tower City told them that there are big changes coming as far as TC goes, and that FC only allows them (and the majority of tenants) to sign month to month leases. I know there was discussion about lease lengths but I can't find it. I don't remember anyone mentioning a month to month basis before.

Cleveland: Midtown: Development and News
I was reading it on an iPhone... the mobile version of the website lets you see it but googling it doesn't! Interesting... well lets see if I can summarize: The owner of the Frost building (69th and Euclid) is rehabbing the upper floors for his business but wants to put a restaurant at street level with outdoor dining Midtown Tech Park is 70% leased 7000 Euclid renovation has begun There's a lot of information about special financing, public financial assistance, federal credits, etc. that combined have made these new developments possible This has allowed Mr. Frost to buy 3 parcels on Euclid Ave. (@ E 69th). He's tearing down a house on the north end and restoring a 3 story brick building that will be the office/restaurant combo Hemingway Development is marketing the redevelopment of the Agora Building (5000 Euclid) to be rebranded as "The Offices at Penn Square" They're also working with the City to cleanup Warner & Swasey Building (5701 Carnegie) Cumberland Development is interested in property on Euclid currently owned by RTA to take overflow from Baker Electric Building Richard Bowen is planning $35 mil mix-use project @ 6600 Euclid (right next to Galuccis) which would be medical office building, retail, and senior living center. Did I miss anything??

Cleveland: Midtown: Development and News
Good news. Glad to hear the agora building is being looked at. That's right down from the intersection of 55th and Euclid. I always thought that had to be the most unattractive section on the whole healthline, especially the gaping hole in the railroad overpass!! I havnt been by that way in a few months but I assume it's the same. Hope to see change soon.

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
Some have mentioned TC needs a department store anchor but with the Higbees Space out of the question where would something like that even go? Is there room for a large additional space like that?

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
This is very exciting. I know there was an article not long ago in which the new president of Forest City said before, they were the ones calling new retailers and getting no response, but now because of the casino, THEY are the ones getting the calls. That was a few month ago so I've been wondering when something would happen. I was actually in Tower City this afternoon and it's really incredible how much potential is there...

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
Good idea KJP- I really wasn't sure where to post that initial article. In the meantime- its official: http://www.cleveland.com/business/index.ssf/2011/12/rock_ohio_caesars_to_buy_cleve.html

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
This is about the bottom five floors of the building, the Ritz starts on the 6th floor (I think?) because they felt views were somewhat blocked below. Too bad they can't expand UP but I suppose it's a bit late for that ;) also the twin tower opposite the Tower City atrium matches its height

"Losses narrow at Forest City; real estate company says it's giving up 250 Huron offices in Cleveland Published: Thursday, December 08, 2011, 4:24 PM Updated: Thursday, December 08, 2011, 6:00 PM By Michelle Jarboe McFee, The Plain Dealer Forest City will let go of 120,000 square feet of office space at Tower City Center, according to a regulatory filing. The real estate company disclosed its plans Thursday, in documents related to its third-quarter financial results. CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Forest City Enterprises Inc. lost $41.9 million during the third quarter - in part due to an accounting loss on the former Chase Financial Tower office space at Cleveland's Tower City Center. The real estate company, based at Tower City, reported slimmer losses than a year before. But the company lost 25 cents per share as Forest City accounted for leasing challenges at a Florida shopping center and the decision to let go of four floors of offices in downtown Cleveland." http://www.cleveland.com/business/index.ssf/2011/12/losses_narrow_at_forest_city_r.html

Landmark Office Building interior
Awesome! I've always been fascinated by the Landmarks. I love Art Deco architecture and there isn't a lot in Cleveland. Can anyone go inside and take pictures?
