Well then, sir, you've just talked yourself into suburban housing for the median American household. ^ That response makes no sense with regard to Jmicha's statement.

Needs to run north of 12th on Walnut and Main to the face of Mt. Auburn and then through a series of tunnels, daylighting behind Christ Hospital and ending up on Auburn Avenue to Corry to Jefferson. Way more money, but way better performance. Zero Zero Zero chance this would ever happen. Negative chance, if that were a thing.

Mark Greene has developed the row of about 12 $850K homes on Riverside drive. They have amazing interiors and 3 massive decks on the back with built in grills, stonework, etc. His interiors are high quality, despite the cookie cutter nature of the exterior of his Riverside Dr builds.

Correct. Does anyone remember the first rendering for Phase 2? IT WAS SO AWFUL.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
Actually, that has changed. They cut the base from 3 floors to two and the building height from 10 to 9 floors. Original rendering: Revised rendering:

I have accordion blinds which go up and down. I keep them covering the bottom 2 feet of my windows, but the top 4 feet are open. This gives me privacy from below, but I can always have natural light and a great view.

Email [email protected] and say support the project, but reduce the parking subsidy and thereby the number of parking spaces. W&S has announced they are going to build a 750 space parking garage 2 blocks away. Let the private sector build garages and have the City subsidize more transit. Get the conversation started!

Yes. The LLC owns all the property down 12th Street to Baldwin Alley. They're definitely doing some work there, but I have no idea who's doing it nor what the timetable is. That's an Urban Sites building.

^ no need to get sexist. Streetcar construction will have 2nd st closed for the last two weeks of March for the curve.

Cincinnati: Eastern Corridor
it just depends on the language of the lease. Saks 5th Ave doesn't own their building in downtown. Neither do the Bengals. They have incredibly powerful leases. So, they could be right... but it depends on the details of their agreement

Streetcar Schedule Update: By April 1st, the following will be completed. WALNUT STREET - all the way from government place (today) through the curve onto 2nd street. Walnut will be entirely completed. This wasn't originally the plan, as the 2nd street curve wasn't supposed to happen till the fall but now it is scheduled for late March. MAIN STREET - The curve from 12th and the straight track to Central Parkway. Possibly across Central Parkway if things go very well. OTR LOOP - Overhead wire system for all of OTR would be completed by April 1. This includes the Diamond intersection. ______________ VEHICLES - Vehicle #2 carshell set arrived to the CAF Elmira plant December 2. Vehicle #3 carshell set will arrive in early February. Vehicle 4 shipped Jan 19 and will arrive Feb 25, Vehicle 5 will arrive in Elmira April 2. First vehicle is still on track for a Sept 15, 2015 delivery OPERATIONS - SORTA should have a signed operator by the end of June. The ticket vending machines should be delivered in 4Q 2015, with testing and installation by May 2016. This is a big deal, because Atlanta is offering their system free for 3 months, not because they want to, but because they haven't gotten ticket vending machines yet... I'm hoping Cincinnati does 2 weeks free, then begins paid service on Oct 1, meaning all those gift cards would start on the first of a month, etc. So a 60 day pass gets you all of Oct and all of November ending on Nov 30.

Sorry, I should have been clearer. I was referring to the 13th street rehab in OTR, stating it is even older than Walnut, and they haven't taken that crap down yet.

Housing affordability here is the best in the nation. Ok... Maybe Detroit & Buffalo are cheaper, but still. You can buy a house. A HOUSE for $50K and it will be in decent shape. You only need to make $28K to qualify for a mortgage for a $50K house with decent credit.

13th Street was rehabbed in 2013 and those haven't come down yet. They put everything underground, but they haven't removed the top ones yet (may also not have activated the underground yet)

That kroger base is HORRIBLE on the Court Street side. Even if they just cut one small storefront into it it would be a major improvement.
