  1. That photo isn't showing for me I can't see the photo :(
  2. Walnut Hills closes when this one opens.
  3. OCtoCincy replied to a post in a topic in City Photos - Ohio
    Love it! Thanks for posting.
  4. Does anyone have any high quality layout maps of the development? I've never been in and am still not exactly sure how large or how exactly it's laid out
  5. There's a strong case to be made for not reading or commenting on those articles. Instead, read and comment on the much more levelheaded WCPO articles that have been coming out.
  6. Now there's a word I would be happy with a moderator banning.
  7. We need more sloppy spaghetti places aimed at upscale business travelers...
  8. It's expected to be a steakhouse from the Kaze/Embers/Mercer crew. 3CDC has found a successful model in having single owners put multiple stores in the same area. They get consistency of quality, the restaurants benefit from shared deliveries, etc. Dan Wright, Kaze group, and Thunderdome would each have 3 restaurants on Vine St. There are certainly pro's and con's from an urban planning perspective, but it seems to be working very well for now. The biggest downside is if one of them goes under 5 years from now for personal financial reasons, you could lose three restaurants instead of just 1. I don't know anything about the sub basement places, other than one will have an entrance off of Republic St, which is great.
  9. Donate to the campaign!!! Keep Cincinnati Beautiful is raising a few thousand dollars to plant trees and landscape the new portion of the park. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/help-kcb-green-grant-park#/story
  10. ^ the problem is it shouldn't be. We should expect some of these people to live in OTR or downtown and walk, some of them to take the bus, some not to own cars.
  11. ^ and all the fast food restaurants...
  12. That rendering is from roughly 2012. While they've released some renderings updating the phase 2 area, they haven't released a new "master plan" rendering yet. Everything to the east is just placeholder rough estimate type stuff.
  13. I think that the out-of-town developed project on Jefferson across from Cactus pear is excellent form and pretty high quality materials. I would have added a retail space in the front... but beyond that it's pretty much a great college apartment development.
  14. We had the exact same idea apparently. Nice. Also, how late is the 7th and Vine one open? I just know the Court Street one is closed by 5PM.
  15. Often overlooked in these conversations, Izzy's always got it, with their two CBD locations. Skyline is sort of there as well, but really should have a presence at either the Banks or in OTR, given how widely popular they are. Totally agree on the rest. I love the idea of a late night Skyline open at The Banks in the old Johnny Rockets.
  16. Actually, all of the major projects in Corryville are local developers. The two other new construction buildings on Short Vine are Uptown/NAP, the ones on University are Uptown, the ones on Eden ave by MLK are Great Traditions (suburban Cincy), and this one(VP3) and VP4 accross the street are Uptown. The one at McMillan and Ohio is also Uptown and U Square is Towne. The one on Jefferson near Cactus Pear is an out of town company. The one way down McMillan by itself is an out of town company and the under construction new project at Clifton & McMillan is an out of town company. Uptown Properties has been on a massive building boom lately.
  17. ^ Huh? This was developed by Uptowns largest homegrown developer. How does it have anything to do with out-of-town ownership when it's a guy who has been owning in Corryville for 30 years? I'm not saying don't criticize it, but it's two Cincinnati companies who developed it.
  18. They want to leave downtown apparently.
  19. Thry should have spent money making a very attractive possibly sheltered pedestrian walkway between the developments through that lot;
  20. There's going to be more development in EWH in the coming years. Hyde Park is going full speed into NIMBYism to prevent densification & tear downs. This will benefit the surrounding areas as it becomes harder to build in HP.
  21. They will 100% be moved before thanksgiving. But I think there's a chance the move is delayed from Sept to late October, which isn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things
  22. They used to do the same with Portland back in the day to distinguish it from the city in Maine. I guess Portland just grew large enough and got to the point where it dominates enough to just be 'Portland'....if they are talking about the city in Maine, then it is Portland, Maine. I guess they must still list both with their respective states in the Northeast (I would imagine). The post that started this whole debate qualifies Portland as Portland, Oregon.
  23. How could you forget Ypsilanti?!
