Wow. This season is pretty awful. Even the Pirates are doing better.

How about the Reds now? 23-17, first place in the NL Central, and a sweep of the Cards for the first time since September 2007! That last game was really close though....
  5. Oh. Cool!
  6. I feel the shortened line has a high risk of failure. I do see how it could help revitalize OTR. However, the omission of a segment to the Banks and GABP seriously maims the utility of the line to outside visitors, thus decreasing possible ridership. Is it possible that in the near future or even during construction the city might obtain funding (whether public or private) to at least extend the line to the Banks?
  7. 108 - factory in St. Louis??

Apparently Nashville-Davidson County grew ten percent to about 626,000. http://www.theleafchronicle.com/article/20110316/NEWS01/110316011/2010-Census-Clarksville-population-tops-132-000?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|FRONTPAGE

I heard about Wisconsin just now on NPR. Strickland may not have been perfect - but Kasich screwed up even before taking office.

WOW! How much of that density has been lost to 'urban renewal'? Well, at least the Banks and stadiums are better than the railroad yards, right? ;)
  20. ^January 2011?
  21. Another 'poll'.....interesting. The polling materials should also say that investments with the help of the streetcar project will be spent in ALL 52 neighborhoods of Cincinnati. Another thing - what would be the best route for an NKY extension? A line through Newport and Covington would not only link the soon-to-be three largest transit centers in the area (future Uptown Transportation Center, Government Square, and the TANK Covington Transit Center) but also other major attractions (e.g. MainStrasse, Newport Aquarium)? Is there any chance this would get built?
  22. Philly could still use more heavy rail and light rail - especially for SEPTA routes 23 and 56. But compared with Dallas, it is definitely more transit friendly. And now I have three reasons to live in Philadelphia - good colleges, good public transportation, and good baseball!
  23. Not spending for infrastructure - but risky investments and bank privatization (see Iceland)
