These compositions are amazing. Filling the frame like a boss.
  2. Outstanding pics. I love the composition and lighting of these shots, well done. These photos really capture the essence of the city.
  3. @ jim uber - Are you saying there is too much boosterism? That can also be said about any city.
  4. The friend I was visiting has lived in Cincy for a couple years now, and he would agree 100%. He knows transplants from the east coast that rip on Cincinnati for not being Philadelphia and won't open their eyes to what the city has to offer. And as you mentioned, there are provincial people who complain about how there's not enough to do even though they never venture outside their section of the city. Personally, I think Cincinnati has more than enough urban amenities for a city of its size.
  5. I took advantage of the mild November weather and got some shots of one of my favorite cities last weekend 8-)

Well done, reminds me of my past travels. I think Riverview Park has to have the best skyline views on the planet.
  7. Well done. It seems like the historic commercial corridors of New Jersey all have distinctive wood frame architectural styles you don't see elsewhere in the NY metro.
  8. From the clear weather weeks in August

That is one stunning pano from West Seattle! So dense and dramatic from that angle. Great work!

My friend has just graduated and will be relocating to Lima for a couple years. He is looking for a place to rent but has no idea where to start. Any suggestions of neighborhoods and towns in the area he should consider would be greatly appreciated.

I love the first two shots, I've always thought Nashville's skyline looked great from a couple miles out. Great set!

Well done. You picked a gorgeous day, it's great to see so many people lining the landscape.
  15. I'm a fan of these old Region cities with nostalgic main street cbd's. Thanks for sharing.

Gutsy move sneaking up to the roof of the old hotel. I bet you could see the Chicago skyline from there on a clear day.
  18. Nice pics, this town has impressive architecture!
  19. These are my shots from a ColDay-guided tour of Cincinnati and a little bit of Dayton. There's so much to see in both cities, in terms of architecture, neighborhoods, etc.; I'll definitely be coming back to Southwest Ohio since one day doesn't do it justice. This trip was a good start as I was able to learn a lot of new things, Dayton in particular was a pleasant surprise. Some residences in the SF-like neighborhood of Tusculum Some Hyde Park houses. Although I didn't take many pics of the Hyde Park/Mt. Lookout area, I was impressed with its family friendly characteristics. I saw several families spending their Saturday afternoon in community areas such as Hyde Park Square and Ault Park. These neighborhoods appeal to a demographic you would expect to find only in the suburbs of a lot of other cities. Moving further west towards downtown, a cityscape from the Walnut Hills neighborhood A couple corner photos of Walnut Hills Nice rows in Edgecliff Mt. Adams views The sign and the art deco skyscraper remind me of 50th Street in Manhattan Synagogue in Garfield Place Beautiful architecture, corner of Race and Vine Looking north on Walnut, lots of activity Gotta love the historic Over-the-Rhine canyons Over-the-Rhine skyline East Coast feeling Downtown Victorian houses in Newport, KY View from Covington, KY Covington’s looking good Back in Cincinnati, don’t remember the neighborhood Who doesn’t love mansard roofs? Pendleton neighborhood View from the steps of Union Terminal Back streets Skyline from the northside Glencoe in all its abandoned glory. ColDay was told off by a hipster when he drove the wrong way on a one-way street around this vacant block Not sure which neighborhood this was taken in Clifton, college kids Charming Northside neighborhood Dayton-Next 3 shots are from the Oregon neighborhood. Surely one of the most organic and Bohemian neighborhoods in the midwest Downtown, Dayton Arcade in the foreground Goodnight Dayton

Awesome stuff. The city government would be smart to license these pictures from you.
