It didn't make any sense to me, either, but he arrived on a mission to tell all of us that we were a nuisance and that the city would never allow the homeless to do this, so why should parents? I guess he thought better of his actions a couple of days later, and came back to make up-regardless, it was a stupid thing to do and really angered a lot of people.

I was at the campout. The first part about Cafe de Wheels berating the parents is true. The second part about the parents Monday night refusing the chili and hot cider is not. Many didn't eat the chili, but the cider went very quickly.
