Not that anyone cares, but I finally got my car back Friday. :clap:I'm ecstatic after thinking my engine was history. Turns out the problem was a bad alternator along with some faulty electrical wiring. And the smoke was from the new drive belt slipping off the alternator and getting caught in between two pulleys. They also did some courtesy work for all the inconvenience they caused. Now my Subaru is running like new again. It was nice driving the shiny new 11 WRX, but I was ready to get my "broken-in" and dinged up WRX back in my possession.

Grand Rapids, Michigan
Grand Rapids looks like a surprisingly interesting and clean city. I haven't been to GR, but the parts of Western Michigan I have visited are absolutely stunning, especially the coastline. A few of the pics sorta remind me of a cleaner version of Hartford, CT. I defintely need to make a trip to GR.

Co11Day Tours: Chicago
Great pics! Who are the people in the last pic? North Andre, is that you?

Co11Day Tours: Nashville
Nice! Tennessee as a whole is immensely underrated IMO. It's one of those states that completely flies under the radar and no one really talks about. I've been to Nashville a few times, love the nightlife, and the chatty women! I liked Memphis also, but large portions of the city appeared to be in bad shape. I was pleasantly surprised by Knoxville also.

Penn State Scandal
^I think it is being treated as such by the media. As I'm typing now, I'm hearing on TV about heightened security at Beaver Stadium and a potential bomb threat.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
It makes me sick to my stomach that a sprawling Texas city like Houston has light rail, while we have to fight "tooth and nail" just to get a measly streetcar. *sigh*

Penn State Scandal
I disagree. The way that the Penn State scandal continues to permeate the national media shows just how serious it is being taken. The OSU scandal was limited primarily to sports media (outside of Ohio) once the initial shock wore off. What happened at OSU cannot be compared to the events that unfolded at Penn State, which last well over a decade. I think most people realize that, which is why the OSU situation has not really been brought up in conjunction with the Penn State incident. For someone to attempt to place the two scandals into the same category is ludicrous and disrespectful to the victims.

Penn State Scandal
^Lol. It has to suck major balls to coach at the university for 46 years, become the winningest coach in college football history, be regarded as a "god" at the campus, and get booted out the door the way he did. I think they could have at least let him finish out the season. He didn't deny anything and even owned up and said he could've done more. On the other end, since he was unanimously voted out, I'm thinking there is a lot more to the situation than what is being released. On the surface, it looks as if Joe Paterno is the scapegoat of the situation resulting from the university feeling obligated to take drastic measures in wake of the situation. Since no one stood up for him in the decision to vote him out, I'm thinking there is some serious stuff that they don't want to publicize about "JoePa."

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
Just when I think I don't care about this city or state, election time always reminds me of how much I actually do care. No way would I be this passionate about Issues 2 & 48 if I didn't. Looks like Issue 48 is a victory for us (Take that Smitherman!). Hopefully we can finally get the wheels rolling on the project, SOON.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
^I was wondering the exact same thing! It's looking pretty good so far, but if the majority of the west side hasn't reported yet.....

Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
I agree, and at least they weill have PARENT(S) and not just a parenT. Just from pure observation, homosexual couples seem to be more nurturing towards their children than their heterosexual counterparts.

Chicago, November 2011 - Amtrak, CTA, Millennium Park, and a little of Pilsen
Love the pics. Lol at the "Woodcutters" van. The guy on the bike is looking like "wth" while the guy in the Nissan looks like he's posing for the camera. I also like the immigration wall.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
I won't be surprised at all if Issue 48 passes tomorrow. I'm hoping it doesn't, but this IS Cincinnati we're talking about. Not to mention that Smitherman is dangerously influential.

Asheville, NC and some surrounding Mountains
I was there in July (have friends and some family all throughout NC). Their downtown is small as hell, but very vibrant and well utilized. The natives we talked to were really cool also. I could definitely see myself living there. The only drawback IMO is the isolated feel of the area, which many people consider a plus.
