This is my first time posting on UO, but for worth I am in my mid twenties and purchased a home in Tremont almost a year ago. I had looked all over the city for housing options and after visiting Tremont I really loved how closely knit the neighborhood is. Unlike OC and DS the Historic Tremont District has established boundaries (highways, w14, & Cuyahoga)which help facilitate the the "neighborhood feel". As far as safety is concerned when looking at numbers Tremont encompasses a much larger area that most people think (which does have some rougher parts). Within the Historic Tremont area I feel safe, but at the same time I take normal precautions that everybody should when living in a more urban area. I enjoy and try to support all the great neighborhoods in Cleveland and feel confident you would be happy in any of them.
Before jumping into any housing situation take a few days/nights to drive/walk around the different areas and you will start to get a pretty good feel for what fits you.
