I beleive the proposed water supply lines would come from Hudson so the lines would run from East to West into Penninsula down 303. The sewers would have to run south to the Akron Wastwater plant. So I would imagine the only overlapping work for the two proejcts would be in the heart of downtown Penninsula.

Doesn't the section around Harvard Ave still need to be completed? So, wouldn’t the Harvard Ave section be the final stage of the towpath trail?

I took pictures of these same two projects about a week ago.

They don’t need to spend a billion on that campus. It’s already very nice and functional.

I'm not thrilled about more retail being built on undeveloped land. There are already too many shopping centers in the Akron area and these additional retailers could have found space to redevelop. Also very sad to see West Point close, but at least it sounds like that property will be redevolped into something useful.

Bass Pro Shops said the store will anchor a huge, 1 million-square-foot “mixed use” Marketplace at Boston Heights. The project includes 350,000 square feet of retail space, and Bass Pro’s store will account for 100,000 square feet. Bass Pro Shops, of Springfield, Mo., said the projected opening date for the Boston Heights store is summer 2016.

I'm a Lowe's fan myself, but I'm happy that is project is moving forward for two reasons. 1) the Giant Eagle site will not be vacant eyesore 2) having a another mega hardware store around will make more products easily available

The Halle building parking deck is one of the worst decks I've ever been in. I'm guessing since it's super old there are columns in nearly every single parking space that you need to avoid hitting, the whole place has peeling paint and tons of rust, and the elevator to the tunnel was the slowest most shoddy old elevator imaginable.
