  1. You are correct, jjames, however early last year the building was closed after discovery that the renovation work performed in the early 2000s had been badly flawed. In one spot, for instance, over 20 inches of concrete was used to level a sagging floor! The Central Hotel was evacuated, and it was determined that saving the building would take over $3 million of new investment. Both the Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing and the City of Galion stepped up to avoid the loss of the building and the return of 30 living units to the heart of our downtown area. Awesome! I always liked Galion's downtown. There's a decent selection of store-fronts and always have loved Evergreen Company.
  2. I thought this property was already rehabbed to Senior apartments or something? I haven't really been back to Galion in years (went to middle/high school there).
  3. That's annoying. Just like the ones you have to be buzzed in. I don't even bother. The only thing that makes sense about that, I guess, is it's not in a real pedestrian area. It's good that there will be another shopping option though in the general area!
  4. Shocker lol. That tends to happen when you do nothing to a property for years.
  5. Reduced to approximately 250 yesterday.
  6. That article made me chuckle with their "urban infill" and talking pedestrian friendly and not being a lifestyle center. The development may be pedestrian friendly, but the area most definitely is not walkable. It is the definition of a lifestyle center and is suburban infill, not urban. But aside from that, design-wise, it looks good.
  7. If it's changed, that would be awesome. The last I remember hearing is 500 apartments on the upper levels.
  8. I would love to see some condos as part of the high rise, even if just a few.
  9. Isn't NuCLEus the only project of those not under construction or mostly completed though? That's what I read out of that ad.
  10. I think it may be wise for them to at least do a satellite office downtown. I would even consider working there then.
  11. Then you get to the office and you're like wait? Where's the stuff in the video.
  12. Well at least the public spaces will be nice :) We will see how the rooms end up.

That's what lots are for. The meters are for quick stops. Well, you know that and I know that..........lol. I've tried telling him, but I guess he doesn't mind paying the fines.

Well, they could pay for it with some of the multiple parking tickets my partner gets due to not being able to add more money/2 hour limits due to being in court lol.

Why does Cleveland still have meters?? ParkMobile is quite convenient but I guess allowing people to add more money to the meter would reduce the number of tickets they can hand out.
  16. Hmm....that's interesting. My partner looked at work share space in Superior. They must be planning something different then. It was pretty decent space.
  17. I just wish they would do more to mask the appearance of the garage on East Blvd. As a whole, I'm super excited about this project!
  18. And that could be a big reason why they didn't get it. It's not even fully purchased yet and will mostly just be apartments. I truly believe this building will be fine on its own, especially being on a renovated Public Square.
  19. Good to see such high lease rates at a higher price point and with final units just being made available within the last couple of weeks: Flats developer has a suite deal for prospective tenants "In an email response to a question about whether it’s a rent incentive masquerading as an RNC gambit, Wolstein said the last of the 241 suites were finished at the end of last month and the complex is more than 70% leased." http://www.crainscleveland.com/article/20151215/NEWS/151219872/flats-developer-has-a-suite-deal-for-prospective-tenants#utm_medium=email&utm_source=ccl-dailynews&utm_campaign=ccl-dailynews-20151215
  20. I think it would be better for them to move to a higher visibility sight. I can say I didn't even really know it was there. I've been on the Mather but Cod is out of sight out of mind.
  21. It's amazing they kept all this under wraps with no more than Ken's sleuthing coming up!
  22. I highly doubt what we see for the towers will be the final project. IIRC, they're going to start early next year on the St. Clair side.
  23. OMG YESSSS I've said the same thing ever since discovering it a few years ago!!!
  24. That's much larger than I was expecting. Wonder how many units it will end up being.
  25. I would only recommend Lucky's if you want everything EXACTLY as is on the menu. I personally never go there because of their strictness. Le Petit Triangle in Ohio City is excellent.
