  1. That price range offers you quite the flexibility. I live downtown and love it and would recommend. The warehouse district is not really that noisy. Apartment selection is critical though. For example, the Bingham is quite noisy if you don't have a corner unit. The Avenue district was to be a condo building around 10 blocks east of Warehouse district. You can get a 2,000 square foot penthouse unit for $3,000 a month. Personally, I have a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom in the Gateway district for less than a thousand per month plus parking. I've never once had an issue with mugging, feeling unsafe or break-ins. The lofts at Rosetta are starting to lease currently and there are many other places coming online within the next few months (Hazel 8 in University Circle for example). Lakewood is very nice and safe as well and can find some nice apartments in a high-rise building on the lake for no more than $1,500 per month. Agree with the above posters that you are in the right place and in more than capable hands.
  2. I went there until I went to Great Taste (I think it's called) in The Chesterfield building. They're decent.
  3. Good news here! And I thought there were only supposed to be 80 some units, but she said in the tour and in this interview 97. According to Oliver, downtown occupancy is 97 percent, a rate Oliver said is unheard of in major cities. The Lofts at Rosetta Center at Euclid avenue at East Sixth will bring 97 units into the mix of the more than 4,000 apartments downtown. “We’ve been pre-leasing for two weeks and we’re already through so many spaces that we’re thinking what’s going to be the next project.” http://www.newsnet5.com//dpp/news/local_news/cleveland_metro/hard-hat-tours-demand-for-apartments-in-downtown-cleveland-is-high
  4. I figured the Rosetta employees were the big reason for the push to have residential in the same building!
  5. Yep...it's all MRN
  6. They are planning the same bland white everything as well, but anything drywalled can be painted as long as it goes back to white when the lease is done. It is essentially Uptown built into a historic building.
  7. Well, if the neighborhood does go down, it won't be without a fight. You should meet some of the residents in that area. To say they are passionate about their neighborhood is an understatement. We will see if Trailside at Morgana Run is successful. That should help prove or disprove the marketability of the area.
  8. Haha that would be too logical!!! Thanks KJP. Wyndham removed between 1/4 and 1/2 of the sidewalk for the valet lane. http://goo.gl/maps/QCQSI
  9. There's currently plastic all over and a lot of the ceiling pieces are knocked out inside the H&P. One of the articles mentioned they were doing asbestos removal in February in both buildings and teardown in April.
  10. Went on the hardhat tour of Lofts at Rosetta and snapped some pics...they still have a month to go before the first tenants move in, so it's still pretty rough looking. Facts from the tour...there are only three two bedrooms left. Some glass panes will be replaced, but not the windows due to historic tax credits. The living areas are quite spacious even in the studio lofts. They have pretty cool lighted grooves as opposed to overhead lighting as you can kind of see in this photo: IMG_2979 by jjames0408, on Flickr You can't see it in this pic, but the ninth floor has a lake view: IMG_2976 by jjames0408, on Flickr Bad pic quality, but this is a studio loft: IMG_2975 by jjames0408, on Flickr Kitchen and bathroom layout in one of the units: IMG_2977 by jjames0408, on Flickr This was one of the two bedroom two bathroom units: IMG_2978 by jjames0408, on Flickr The next apartment tour should be The Avenue District Apartments in the next few weeks.
  11. I'm not sure how Wyndham does it, but they are along that stretch as well and I frequently see valet there. I'm pretty sure they cut out some of the sidewalk for it, but have been down here long enough that I don't pay attention when I walk by.
  12. Sure thing :) I don't know how to post it as a link.
  13. As of right now, it's the 10th one down in NE OH projects and construction. Something to the effect of Cleveland Athletic Club to Crowne Plaza.
  14. ...and Kimpton. Hopefully the news of the county HQ is moving things along.
  15. Red the steakhouse looks to be ready to start the renovations of the Volk building. They have the plywood development box up around the first floor. And Colossal Cupcakes 6 foot sign will be attached tomorrow.
  16. So far so good...The Lofts at Rosetta leasing agent is getting calls from Chagrin Falls, Strongsville, Columbus etc as opposed to mainly downtown residents... http://www.freshwatercleveland.com/devnews/loftsatrosetta013113.aspx
  17. Bad news bears for businesses, stand workers and patrons. My grocery bill is gonna suck until it's cleaned up :/
  18. Q4 update...Ameritrust/1010 not included in the 1,165 total units expected nor is phase 2 of FEB http://www.downtowncleveland.com/media/82160/q4_2012_final.pdf
  19. Positive net absorption again in Q4... http://www.downtowncleveland.com/media/82160/q4_2012_final.pdf
  20. Sorry, I was talking about the actual cupcake that's still coming, not the signage. I didn't see a reference as to where that will be placed...hung or on the sidewalk. I think it would be cool to have a 6 foot tall cupcake on the sidewalk :)
  21. They said on Euclid Ave...not sure if that means hung or on the sidewalk...we shall find out in just a couple days tho.
  22. Thanks! Ya, there are a lot of apartments that need some help haha. So much potential...just takes money :/
  23. Does anyone know if there are currently apartments in the 2901 Detroit Ave building? I've never noticed and can't really tell from google maps.
  24. The Downtown Cleveland Alliance City Advocates are organizing "sneak peeks" at some of the new apartments and residential properties that are going to be available to rent this year. The first "sneak peek" is on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 5:00pm at the Lofts at Rosetta Center - 629 Euclid Avenue. To register for this free event, visit downtownsneakpeeks.eventbrite.com!
  25. According to their facebook page, it is six feet.
