  1. My first downtown Chipotle experience was not a good one. I'm giving them a couple weeks to get it together.
  2. Ya, that whole area around E 40th from St Clair to the lake would make a really cool live, work play area with all those warehouses/factories.
  3. Haha...that is awesome! Wonder if that's where he was trying to go with it :)
  4. I got him on twitter:)
  5. Except that both True Religion and Tumi have been at Beachwood Mall in Cleveland for a couple years...the writer should probably do a little fact checking prior to posting.
  6. Unless it was taken out of context, it kind of seems like a child throwing a tantrum.
  7. I will be renewing. It's a nice 15 minute walk there and nice to walk around inside.
  8. The old Prime Rib Steakhouse on Superior will be replaced by Take 5 Rhythm and Jazz. http://www.clevescene.com/scene-and-heard/archives/2013/01/12/take-5-rhythm-and-jazz-replaces-prime-rib-steakhouse-in-warehouse-district
  9. Mitchell's is opened already. :-) Hmm...are you sure?
  10. I live pretty much right across the street and look in everytime I pass and I've seen both good and bad nights. They are opening in the wintertime and have not really done much advertising that I've seen. Black Dog was the same way at first and now is frequently busy. Their price point is at least 3 times Nexus, so we can't really compare them.
  11. "The Lofts at Rosetta" start pre-leasing tomorrow: "Choose from studio, one and two bedroom units, ranging between $715 and $1,635 per month with a variety of floor plans. These beautiful units feature designer wood plank flooring, fully equipped high efficiency kitchens, great city views and much more. We are now pre-leasing units for move in between March and September" http://www.east4thstreet.com/live/the-lofts-at-rosetta-center
  12. Great news...and I see Cleveland only getting stronger with BioEnterprise really pushing for it and new spaces in the Midtown/UC area.
  13. The same group is looking to tear down the Irish cottage across the street to make room for six more units: http://cliftonpointe.com/media/2012/11/7/new-upscale-townhomes-eyed-for-irish-cottage-property.html
  14. It was a joke MTS. I've been to her restaurant in Savannah. It was nothing special. There are very few places I would legitimately say keep out of the area.
  15. There will come a day when the Cleveland market will support "actual townhomes" in that area...now is not the time. There will always be people on public assistance. I would much rather the population be stabilized by tearing down the 1930's projects and replacing them with new buildings. As you can see in the population trends in this specific neighborhood, it has stabilized and is even growing. The reason they focus on the west side is they can make the ROI that they decide is needed. As downtown continues to fill in and Tremont/Ohio City/Detroit Shoreway/Edgewater/University Circle build out, we will see these other neighborhoods take off. We are years away though unless there is some major job growth.
  16. Good news on the eastern front...Cedar Extension on Cedar and E 24th has received funding to be torn down and rebuilt! Heritage View over around Kinsman and E 71 and Bohn Tower downtown are also to get upgraded... http://www.cleveland.com/metro/index.ssf/2013/01/cmha_awarded_17_million_to_upg.html#incart_river_default
  17. Eww...please no! Keep that stuff down in Savannah!
  18. 10-13 is standard anymore...Hell, I paid that for a drink at Cheesecake Factory!
  19. There was a construction fence up today :D
  20. And don't forget the soul food that just opened as well haha!
  21. Colossal Cupcakes will either be getting signage or an art piece by Feb 1st. Per Facebook: "A six foot 3D cupcake would look pretty cool on Euclid...don't you agree?" and then in the comments: "By February 1, Cleveland will own the worlds largest cupcake!" Also...Chocolate 76 will be opening up shop on January 21, where they will be selling the city their handmade chocolate in the 5th Street Arcades.
  22. Yep...there are quite a few members. We did a monthly happy hour and 20-30 people usually showed up. They should start back up this year. It's more about bringing downtown residents together and getting people who are "downtown-curious" more information. They work with DCA a lot (I believe they are a part of it).
  23. Agreed! I believe I read passing by the max occupancy is in the 40's, so there won't be much room for dining in.
  24. That's what I was saying lol, but I'm done with it haha.
