  1. There is a lot of good info in that!!! Time to see some action finally!!!
  2. Yep :) I put that in Playhouse Development since they're not serving food...not sure of the rules for "restaurant".
  3. Popular east-side pub coming to Playhouse: "Synnott's next expansion will be a tad more ambitious: In March, Parnell's Downtown will open in PlayhouseSquare, in a space that has seen its share of short-lived operations. Most recently, it was home to Corks Wine Bar, which lasted a little less than three years." http://freshwatercleveland.com/devnews/parnellsplayhouse122012.aspx
  4. New restaurant opening in Tremont: Schulze is talking about his planned restaurant and watering hole Bourbon Street Barrel Room, which was recently approved by the local Tremont block club, a major feat given the propensity of skiddish neighbors to blackball new liquor licenses. The 100-seat restaurant, which will be located on Professor Avenue between Fahnrenheit and Edison's, is expected to open by next summer. http://freshwatercleveland.com/devnews/bourbonstreet122012.aspx
  5. On the possible project in the Cleveland area.
  6. A couple weeks ago, the UC location said January 15th.^^
  7. The tile is pretty cool in the back of the store. I peeked in tonight.
  8. Just a signage change but the chance at 1,000 jobs!!
  9. Usually they pull up after a google search, but this one is not working.
  10. So here are more renderings. They have started digging already. http://tremontnorth.com Also, Starkweather Place had a sign up that Spring 2013 they were starting the next group of town homes.
  11. FYI...per Facebook post, Uptown is down to the final couple apartments proving there is a market in Cleveland for $2,000 per month apartments.
  12. Coffee at 2pm? I was on my first glass of wine! I love how all the haters are going to have to eat their words now. It's going to be a nice space.
  13. I laughed when I read that story this morning. I tried googling the company, but didn't see any additional information.
  14. Noticed a couple things while shopping at the very neat Foundry pop up shop by Capitol Theater...there is a salon going into one of the spaces between Chase and Yellowcake. Spoke with Valerie and she is expanding the shop into the old Poultry place next door in January and it will possibly be housing a men's collection!

How so? I'm pretty sure works of art are kept and displayed there in a building, so it holds pretty true to the definition of museum. mu·se·um [myoo-zee-uh m] Show IPA noun a building or place where works of art, scientific specimens, or other objects of permanent value are kept and displayed.
  16. Yep...there was a facebook update that Wileyville has been started as well.
  17. It was from the original article...within 5 miles of downtown for the storage site.
  18. And they are going to build regardless...may as well hold them accountable.
  19. That is where Mirch Masala was supposed to go, but would not surprise me if it became a Subway. Especially seen as that spot always had some restaurant "coming soon". Also, that would explain why it appears there is finally construction happening there. now thats a damn shame if its a subway sub shop because the chinese/indian 'mirch' mixup is one of the best cuisines ever, especially if you like spicy foods. google mirch and check out the menu of anyplace that comes up -- it will make you hungry instantly! so if no go there hopefully it opens somewhere else downtown. Subway may not be taking the Mirch Masala spot. There are two storefronts in the 2013 Ontario building and both had lights on this morning with the standard redevelopment paper up on the windows. Would not surprise me either way, but hopefully something happens as that spot has been empty for almost 2 years I think now. The Subway coming soon sign is finally up. It's on the left side while Mirch Masala is on the right. Wonder if it will ever open haha.
  20. This is definitely quite a few years out, but good news nonetheless.
  21. Hootenany hit the issues right on the head.
  22. Best case scenario, we would end up with what Lakewood got which is neither terrible nor good but still not attractive for this area.
  23. So with that logic then, all of the townhomes on Bridge are a result of Gordon Square? So shouldn't we then get rid of Detroit Shoreway? The Gateway District was founded in 1988, prior to the rebirth of E4th. The popularity of E4th is spilling over, yes, but that does not mean that it is now the East 4th Street district.
  24. The foundation at Clifton Pointe is currently being laid. There are only 3 left to sell. IMG_2871 by jjames0408, on Flickr
