  1. This is great news!! Let's get this part of the strip going... The Cleveland-based developer The Foran Group has announced plans to convert a pair of historic buildings on W. 25th Street in Ohio City into 70 market-rate apartments. The game-changing project, in the works for several years, is the first big new housing project to get off the ground here since the Great Recession. Positioned between the success of Ohio City's Market District and the popular Stonebridge apartment, office and condo complex, the new West 25th Street Lofts will bring fresh life and vibrancy to a critical dead zone in the heart of Ohio City. http://freshwatercleveland.com/devnews/ohiocityapartments010112.aspx
  2. I've not been able to run across anything about the project or remediation aside from the hotel rumor. All I know is every time I pass, there's a new light on and more work done.
  3. They're still slowly plugging away at the building that is rumored to house Le Meridien also...of course no announcements still though. It will be nice to walk along that stretch to get chinese or go to the market at Reserve Square with a little more life injected into the street.
  4. Another drug store would be terrible for that intersection...there's already one huge parking log and a gas station which is essentially nothing but a parking lot.
  5. That idea was brought up in the Friends of Canal Basin Park a few days ago...stairs/elevator from the bottom up to the lower level to a restaurant. One of the comments in that article reminded me of a question I've had...what ever happened to the Flats bridges LED lighting project?
  6. OC and Tremont are the biking centers of Cleveland...the location makes complete sense to me. I was actually just driving by the property last week thinking it would be a great fixer upper!
  7. Sure thing:) I'm excited for not only the park, but also the trail links.

I'll probably still be recovering from Halloween parties:) but I should be able to make it.
  9. Also, the final meeting for Friends of Canal Basin Park for this year was last night. From that meeting: design ideas were shown from many different groups including the designers of Millennium Park in Chicago 84% of the land for the park is already in control or in friendly hands the final leg of the Tow Path will be complete by 2016 and this may include Lake Link Trail as well the park will be complete at the same time as the trails active recreational activities, dog park, and programmable space were the main suggestions from residents the Scranton Rd piece of the trail has broken ground in Tremont RTA will begin service on the Waterfront Line in May of 2013 and is currently cleaning up all stations water features and a kid focus for some aspects of the park were brought up as well with references to St. Louis and Cincinnati's new parks it will be under the control of the city, Metroparks and possibly the Cuyahoga National Park rangers everyone agreed that there should be less focus on parking lots and a high focus on making this a high quality park and there were so many more things, but I cannot remember them all.
  10. Another townhouse sold today:)
  11. ....that will be fixed in the next year needs to be added to your post.
  12. The apartment renovation at West and Madison looks great! There seems to slowly be more investment into the neighborhood, but as stated, the walkability can be terrible!
  13. That's lighting...not building color...lights can be added anytime.
  14. Their facebook says they're filling quickly...but they always say that haha.
  15. Another townhouse sold. Now only two remain...that's hopefully only two away from the start of a new project;)
  16. Goodness, no! Thank you for posting:) It would be so awesome to see the water taxi functional.
  17. The roads are now being paved back toward phase two. I would have snapped pics but I was getting great time on my run...I'll go back another time :)
  18. Same issue there as with Phoenix on W9.
