Cleveland: Downtown: Playhouse Square Development and News
And don't forget this part of the article..."That has investors including Tony George, who owns an empty office building at 1224 Huron Road, considering rental projects. In an interview this week, George said the George Group and an unidentified developer might turn the small building into 12 high-end apartments over ground-floor retail."

Relocating to Cleveland -- University Circle or other areas?
On Clinton/Franklin in Detroit Shoreway there are many people with chickens, bees and small farms. There are beautiful old houses and I know a few residents who used the special rehab loans to make them beautiful. The elementary school around W105 is pretty good from what I hear, but you would definitely want to do your research. There are plenty of good schools in Cleveland, just not the school district overall.

Haha, well I ordered take out on Wednesday and our food was great. Can't speak for the service except for when I called and she asked for my name, she seemed to think that my name was funny (last name is also a first name). I will probably be checking out brunch on Sunday as well.

Great to see except I will have to start running more :D Part of my exercise is walking from home to Constantinos/Studio Palmieri/restaurants in WHD. This will be great for tourists but especially good for downtown residents and workers.

Cleveland Rapid Rail Construction Projects (Non-Service Issues)

Correct. The gumbo place is going into the front with the plywood up and Chipotle is rumoured for the Bang and Clatter space. Since according to some in the forum it is a done deal, I would say that E4 yoga's moving is a good sign. I cannot believe Chipotle has not gone into downtown yet. With over 100,000 downtown workers...then throwing in residents and tourists and a college crowd within a mile, it seems like a no brainer.

Nobody has mentioned this station's redevelopment...I saw it for the first time a couple weeks ago and it's interesting. http://www.riderta.com/majorprojects/buckeyewoodhill/

The distance of the walk isn't really the problem. It's the safety along that walk that I think is being overlooked. Hopefully the rumor of another parking garage at that location turns out to be true. Well, good to see your opinion on closeness has changed.

What are you talking about MTS???!!! There's NO parking downtown. I have to walk across the street to park hahaha...I'm sure this will make a certain member who expresses CSU displeasure in this board ecstatic.

Cleveland: Detroit-Shoreway / Gordon Square Arts District: Development News
Here's some good news on Waverly Station: Waverly station will contain 22 eco-friendly homes, all of them three stories, with rooftop decks and lake views. Only six so far went up for sale. Three are already sold. "When we complete this site, we'll be moving on something else to build right in this neighborhood." http://www.wkyc.com/rss/article/257333/23/New-homes-built-in-Detroit-Shoreway-neighborhood-already-sold

It is...and why is it not in a good location? The Cleveland today is different from the Cleveland a few years ago when MP was trying to make a go of it. Black Dog is no more out of the way or poorly located than Hodge's.

Cleveland: Downtown Office Buildings Updates
This article created some speculation in my mind... "The Cleveland office of the Grant Thornton LLP accounting firm plans to move to a full-floor office at One Cleveland Center from the Halle Building. With the move, Grant Thornton will exit a former department store converted to offices in the 1980s in the city's Theater District. Its destination is a chisel-shaped contemporary office tower dating from 1982 in downtown's NineTwelve District, the current name of the city's one-time finance district." http://www.crainscleveland.com/article/20120823/SUB1/120829889 So....just after Forest City announces they are looking at a conversion for the Halle building to apartments, a company moves a few streets over? Call it wishful thinking, but sounds to me as if the likelihood of it happening isn't too far fetched (that's just the view I choose to take until I hear otherwise. Of course, I can be logical and think of the other reason, but choose not to :D)

Cleveland: Innerbelt News
Haha...this part made me laugh... "They raised Cain, and they should have,'' said Kasich, who urged Wray to scour ODOT's budget and construction-funding toolbox to get the Inner Belt Bridge done by 2016." I'm sure they were hoping we'd just be content with 2023.
