  1. Haha...you were there just after I was then! Went to OCB and she had just finished "BREW"
  2. No thanks. I'll stay downtown and go to Brasa. It's even $5 cheaper at $40 per person.
  3. This is not a loss AT ALL in my book lol. I anticipated this happening as there were very few people ever there since the switchover. Now, let's get some quality there.
  4. The third building at The Langston has also started to rise with two floors up at the middle building. Landscaping is moving along quickly as well and is starting to look really good.
  5. I can't get to it at work, but one of my "like's" on facebook shared a video of the Cleveland Rotary Club and the work they've done with the parkspace at the 25th St Rapid Station. They have a plan that would create a greenway/path connecting from downtown to the Michael Zone recreation center three miles away. It is a very cool idea that would also help the overall impression of the RTA path. In the video, it said that the work that has already been done will save over $800,000. Apparently, there are some big money doners interested.

I lived here as well and it is easily one of the worst large cities in America. You definitely captured the highlights...there are a couple more neighborhoods that are pretty cool though around downtown.

first initial last name and birthday.
  8. At last nights Downtown Residents Association happy hour I found out there's a rumour going through 668 that they are going condo once K&D completes some of the apartment conversions...sounds like more to come!!
  9. I can attest that I've spent thousands of dollars at DU and never had an issue with any of the clothing or housewares that I've purchased there. The service was ALWAYS impeccable...strange that there were other reports. The only $200 items I ever saw there were jackets/coats. Even women's dresses were $150 or less. The average T shirts were $25-50 depending on the detailing of them, not $100. The only issue I ever had there was finding smalls as they sold out so quickly and did not replenish them fast enough. The store is not for everyone...luxury clothing is not for everyone, but what people are stating on here is completely different than the reality. I've been in this store 50+ times since they had the soft opening. I do believe the timing is off and it probably would have done better in Beachwood...but I for one am glad that I did not have to drive all the way out there.
  10. The Domain is 13 miles north of downtown Austin and caters to more of the Round Rock/Cedar Park/Pflugerville crowd. Not all of Austin is trendy and urban friendly...I would actually say quite the contrary. It is very sprawl oriented, but leaders decided they needed a large population base downtown and made it happen. All of these comments though are more for the retail thread as opposed to 4th St Developments.

  17. One of the posts on Cleve.com was correct. They NEVER had smalls. I have many items from there only because I was one of the first to buy the two they would put out. There wasn't much turnover/newer styles either. CLE seems to be doing VERY well though, so maybe a lesser expensive store would do well there. I really do not want to see yet another restaurant on E4th, but if that's all that can be supported for now, so be it.
  18. I'm not sure who said their target was regular college students. I have not seen a false statement as of yet. All we are saying is regardless of who they were/are going for, students are definitely a huge part of it.
  19. NYC is where I was moving...Cleveland is where I decided on. I had neither family nor a job in either location when I made the decision. I love the arts, water, and good neighborhoods. Those were my criteria for choosing where I wanted to live (and snow). Cleveland won out due to price and access to outdoor activities. There are very few other places I would choose to live, Natininja, and I've lived all over the country.
  20. Yet, the majority of new leases based on pictures are students. You underestimate the purchasing power of college students, even CSU. They filled the new lofts on Euclid going for 1200-1400 per month. These were definitely designed for students. I paid $1,000 per month as a student for just over 700 square feet.
  21. Well, they would definitely have to allow people in past 7 in order for anything worthwhile to happen.
  22. Three more photos showing of leases signed at Langston.
  23. That is wild to me...400 person waiting list at E4, 300 person waiting list at 668 and yet we don't have developers flocking...I know I know rents aren't high enough...but it blows my mind. Back on the topic of Uptown...I can see it filling quickly especially with all the interest there has been. The different benefits that UCI (I believe) gives for living and working in UC are incentive enough.
