The large video billboard on the side of the garage is on now. Saw it on my run this morning!

Have you been to any of the other Constantino's? The neighborhood's definitely support them. The sound of Crocker Park makes me cringe. The only redeeming detail is apartments above. Uptown has more than enough residents nearby to support Constantino's and any of the other businesses that will come. As with any apartment, after one year it gets cleaned when the next resident is moving in. Typically when things are nicer, people tend to take care of it as they are paying more for it. Looking forward to all of this being completed so next phases can continue.

The Scranton Road portion of Towpath will break ground in June!! $11 million is already secured and $45 million will still be needed for the final stages of the trail. They are in the early phases of designing "Canal Basin Park" which is a huge combo of the parks existing along the river already and future additions and programming to the park to truly bring people down and make it a well used park. There will be a Riversweep (mass clean-up) on Saturday, May 12 from 9am-noon and if anyone is interested...info is at http://ohiocanal.org/riversweep.htm Great things are going to be happening here and is mostly being led by people in the downtown communities.

I really think a truly mixed use building would work. Large hotel, class A office space and apartments together could make 50 stories possible. Vacancy for apartments is practically zero, class A is around 11-13% and asking rates increasing (and very few spaces with at least 20,000 sq feet available) and hotel occupancy and rates increasing. Dreaming...but things are finally moving in the right direction to see that kind of height again.

They have signs up in all of the windows of OSB that retail space is available...haven't actually looked at the location. I love the Chester Commons building and think that would be a great conversion!!!

I found my place downtown on Craigslist and see occasional downtown properties on there still...maybe a good place to look. I love living downtown and it will only get better over the next couple years. Downtown is one of Cleveland's safest areas and the ambassador's give you even more of a safe feeling. I've walked around at all hours of the day and night and have never felt unsafe. 668 does have a 300 person deep waiting list. There are multiple conversions coming online next year, which won't necessarily help you out this summer, but something to remember if you can't find exactly what you want right now. I pay around 1200 a month for parking, rent and all utilities, so you're range is definitely doable. The problem downtown is as soon as you find a place that actually is available, you have to move very quickly. I saw my place the first day it was posted and moved in a week later. I was the only person who got to look at it. Lucky for me, but not everyone else :) I'm sure any of us would be willing to help out and give advice if you find a place you like.

They keep having open auditions...where there men there also? Every time I see it packed...it's women lol.
