  1. I have a 2BR/2BA downtown for less than $1,000 per month at The Pointe at Gateway. I'm not sure if we still have any available, as they fill as quickly as they come online, but it's a nice place to check out if you're interested in downtown!
  2. Many times. I love their cupshakes!! Cupcakes mixed into a milkshake?? How could you not??!! The owner says it's been busy....more busy than she would prefer. I told her that's a good problem to have! I know they have been overwhelmed...hopefully it's not affecting the cupcakes.
  3. I sure hope not. The more apartments/condos come online...the sooner we have more retail and shops in the 'hood. There are still people coming in to look at my building. One of the penthouse suits is/was for sale and moved forward. Financing ended up not going through, but it does show there is even interest in purchasing downtown.
  4. This is my biggest frustration. In real life, the waters are nowhere close to the clarity in the shark tank that already exist. Sharks don't use eyesight...they use smell. To answer your question, yes it is pretty clear. I've been 4 times already and I've never seen the issue with unclear water.
  5. I am getting a little nervous about this project. It desperately needs an overhaul. Looking at ODOT website, the last update was in 2010 and they said work should start the next year. It's now 2012 and nothing is finalized or even being talked about. Hopefully someone has other info.
  6. It was pushed back to mid-summer.
  7. Haha I'm not sensitive at all. I'm very chill:)
  8. Last Thursday Underdog was not serving downstairs. They served the same food upstairs...didn't hear why they weren't serving downstairs tho.
  9. Hopefully with the connectivity they want, we will get more fountains. There's one at that small park down at the river (at the waterfront line stop by the Det/Sup bridge), we could have one at FEB, then get the one at Public Square going again, the one already existing by Key Tower, another over the new Convention Center and then another around Perk Park. People love fountains....it would get them moving around from place to place. Also, we have a ton of public art in the city and much more planned. Why do we not bank on that? Philly is always talking about their public art and make it a tourist attraction. Well, not only do we have awesome public art all over the city, but we also have beautiful buildings as public art. Throw a tour together with some historical markers all over. Tourists like to take pictures and we have so many things to take pictures of. I know this is only partially about the CC/MM, but the connectivity issue stemmed from it (so to me it's all kind of related.)
  10. I can tell you, as I live downtown and shop at Dredger's frequently, that they are doing well. The things I've noticed there....downtown residents are not as large as suburban residents as small's and mediums disappear so quickly...and XL is always on clearance. I've been in there many times while someone is ringing out a few hundred in merchandise. Quite often, they are packaging up online orders and the made in 216 events are always huge. CLE does quite well also.
  11. That part, I believe, depends solely on money. They issued some really interesting concepts, but I haven't seen anything recently.
  12. I wish they would do more of the streetscaping throughout downtown. Makes so much difference even now with nothing there. I can imagine with residents (hopefully soon they will figure out bankruptcy court) and new businesses, it would be so much more used. I haven't seen the garage yet, but I'll take a walk this weekend. Just walked by there 2 nights ago going to Perk Park and didn't see anything. Nervous!! haha
  13. There's nothing wrong with something for everyone. It's a new business in the area.
  14. So between the two properties nearly 500 new residents downtown.
  15. I think the average is like 1.3 per apartment, so 300 is about right just by estimating.
  16. Now is the tricky part of financing....fingers crossed!!!
  17. Plain Dealer said 500,000 watching the parade and I believe it. I honestly think there were so many more than 500k downtown tho. Every single establishment that was open was packed to the brim. I live above City Tap and Winking Lizard and there were people filling each and spilling out into the patios and outside of the patios and into the street lol. People were openly smoking pot all over downtown lol. I walked to Constantinos to get some chips for my party and Euclid was literally taken over by pedestrians. We walked down the side streets to avoid Superior and they were all packed. They shut down the front entrance of Tower City for some reason, so everyone taking the rapid had to go in side entrances and it was crazy. I would have to think the city of Cleveland and all of the downtown establishments had to make record sales. There was no place that wasn't filled over capacity that I saw. The food trucks were selling out of items around 3. Colossal Cupcakes (which is amazing by the way!!!) was packed and they were still so overwhelmed. People were just drunk and having fun everywhere. Walking down Superior during the parade was insanity. There were almost a few fist fights (mostly parents pissed that idiots were pushing with their kids right there). Everyone became best friends as we had our hands all over each other. The closest thing I can use as a past experience is New Years in New York City. It was crazy and I loved it!!! Everyone complains about peddlers etc....well I didn't notice them at all. It just takes people walking around. Great first experience with SPD in Cleveland!!
  18. We may have been side by side hahahaha.
  19. Shocked at how quickly the apartments are rising!!! I saw the same thing jborger...it was interesting to see half of it missing.
  20. Beautiful!!!! Thank you!!!!
  21. Exactly...I spend all my time in Gateway (where I live), Playhouse, Tower City, or Warehouse District. I was waiting until I went to the library, but now I don't have to.
  22. Haha...thanks!!! I've been too lazy to walk over there!!!
  23. They were a little skimpy on opening night, but they listen to their customers. My second trip was a lot better! And they're open until 3am on weekends!!! I wish whatever is holding Tomo up would get taken care of...I'm craving some Hibachi!!
