  1. This link from 2011 shows they have most of the funding... http://blog.cleveland.com/architecture/2011/06/a_trio_of_pedestrian_bridges_p.html "The North Coast Harbor bridge, which is closest to realization, will be funded by $4.5 million in federal money, plus $1 million in matching funds from the city. The bridge is intended to connect Voinovich Park at the north end of E. 9th Street to the finger pier extending from the west side of the harbor, just north of the Great Lakes Science Center. When closed, the bridge will create a loop trail around the harbor, making it far more pedestrian-friendly."
  2. I would love to at least see the pedestrian bridge get started. I did some googling and nothing yet!! Just that it's expected to start in 2012:/
  3. When Gardenwalk was going on, I got to see a lot of those properties on Clinton and Franklin....very neat!!! Rooftop gardens, beekeepers, some amazing spaces. There's a lot going on, but so much more needs done!
  4. I wish Ecovillage would get started back up again as well! Detroit Shoreway has so much potential.
  5. haha...I didn't make it to anything downtown (funny now that I live here)
  6. While this isn't technically Tremont....it is right outside of Tremont West...the Nestle Expansion is moving right along: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jjames0408/6821552784/#

  8. Update from Hazel Dr today: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jjames0408/6821556544/#
  9. Speaking of the townhomes...I snapped a quick pic. I'm loving how it looks against Euclid!! There's not really anywhere for a quick park to get out but... http://www.flickr.com/photos/jjames0408/6821555956/# Here is a shot of the Euclid Belmore Apartments CMHA just broke ground on in the middle of E Cleve: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jjames0408/6821554468/# I can't find what the space across from Circle East was to be (((I remember something about a power plant but can't seem to find anything online....anyone remember???)))but they've torn down and are still working on the land: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jjames0408/6821555200/#
  10. I posted in the restaurants thread about El Guero. It's decent...It's a sweeter take which is nice...but if you're used to Chipotle portions prepare to be disappointed. It's a really nice space and glad it's in the neighborhood.
  11. I'm extremely surprised they haven't started anything for rentals yet. There are very few modern rental places in that area.
  12. El Guero is on the sweeter side...it was quite nice
  13. We could also use some ice cream/froyo...also small footprint
  14. And I spoke with the designer and he said they're keeping it very hush hush, so it's def not DU.
  15. There was a light on in both the Hartness building and the one across the street. There has to be something going on in this stretch.
  16. It's around the same size as Erie Coffee.
  17. And they are open until 10!!! I tried going to Ohio City Burrito last night and they were closed at 8, so I had to go to Chipotle at Steelyard along with around 80 other people (I counted bc they're slow there).
  18. No problem...live right beside it:D

That is a wonderful book...now let's just get places open past 7pm and I'll be happy. I had to drive all the way to Steelyard Chipotle (which had about 80 people in and out in just 15 mins). I tried going to two places downtown, then Ohio City Burrito and had to end up going to Chipotle as apparently only chains can make it after a certain hour. So frustrating.
  20. Agreed. My apartment posted just three days before we signed the lease. Thankfully, we were the first ones to look at it!!!
  21. A little something has started on this one across from tech park and the second building is nearly complete as well just east of the tech park. http://www.flickr.com/photos/jjames0408/6814677878/#
  22. Sorry they're late but here are the pics requested of the garage and an extra of the Tilted nonsense (not much to see yet) http://www.flickr.com/photos/jjames0408/6814676134/# http://www.flickr.com/photos/jjames0408/6814675686/# http://www.flickr.com/photos/jjames0408/6814674758/# http://www.flickr.com/photos/jjames0408/6814674280/# http://www.flickr.com/photos/jjames0408/6960789499/#
  23. This was mentioned a ways up...I for one cannot wait to get my cupcake on: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jjames0408/6814676724/# Has anyone heard anything about the space beside Dredger's Union yet? There's work going on inside (I peeked in while heading to DU today) Nexus Coffee shop is also moving along on Prospect.
  24. Here is a shot on the inside...not much to see but they are clearly busting things up and cleaning up. I can't figure out how to make them smaller>>thanks anyway ClevelandOhio>>but here they are on flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jjames0408/6814677330/# Anyone know if something is going on in this building?? http://www.flickr.com/photos/jjames0408/6814678622/#
  25. I took today off....so I'll snap some pics....anyone know how to make pics smaller on a mac? Every time I try to put them on here they are too large, so I have to post on flickr.
