  1. Seriously....when I was looking for apartments places in Beachwood and Westlake were going for that amount. I am renting cheaper downtown then in those places. This seems right on track.
  2. There's definitely enough support for both downtown and uptown
  3. As much as I appreciate what K&D does, they're not all about quality. They actually knew this was going to happen. A construction company told them a couple of years ago what needed to be done and quick fixes would not help. They didn't want to pay to fix it and ended up stiffing the company for the work they did as well. It went to court as I'm sure this will also.
  4. They estimated 4 to 500,000 for the first year per the article.
  5. So we have like 60 comments out of 17,000 students??? I'd say those are pretty good numbers. This whole thing is such a joke.
  6. So far so good....64,000 people attended in the first month http://www.wkyc.com/rss/article/232188/45/Greater-Cleveland-Aquariums-attendance-hits-64K-in-first-month
  7. The guys at Duo are awesome and Valerie makes me smile!!
  8. Neat video from FreshwaterCleveland.com with many of the shopkeepers in Gordon Square and a blurb on the impending Near West Theatre new build: Detroit Shoreway Tour with Matt Zone
  9. I'll take pics in E Cleve and University Circle this weekend unless someone else gets to it. Hazel wasn't that far along last time I was there and Circle East had quite a few buildings started.
  10. OMG I love this street!!! I'm signing a lease at The Pointe at Gateway for a year...hopefully this happens!!!
  11. It can also be seen on 77N by TriC/St Vincents
  12. I will be completely thrilled if this is correct as it is right at the Lakewood border..... Whole Foods to open first West Side store in Rocky River, in 37,000-square-foot space off Detroit Road http://www.cleveland.com/business/index.ssf/2012/02/whole_foods_to_open_first_west.html
  13. Thank you!! I knew I wasn't crazy.
  14. I didn't read anything in there about the apartments on top. I wonder if they axed them thinking there is going to be more demand for hotels?
  15. I do have the intention of having kids and would never consider something like that or that far out.
  16. AMEN!!!
  17. Welcome to city life. For those who don't want to deal with the evils of city life, there's always Hiram.
  18. I'll let everyone know for sure! We have our annual pass already, but going to Hair this weekend.
  19. We went shopping early this morning...Dredger's was the same thing I've come to expect from them....nothing but impeccable service. CLE had a lot more merchandise than at the end of last year. The staff was definitely off-putting, but very friendly. After about 10 minutes in the store they asked if sizes were needed. Most people would have already walked out of the store. I'm sure they've been talked to about the complaints, but I don't think it was taken that seriously. As a previous retail store manager, I was appalled by the mess in the store only an hour after opening (with two girls sitting at the registers chatting the entire time. On the bright side, if this morning was any indication of typical business on a snowy winter day, downtown retail has much potential. Between my party of three and the other shoppers that were out, about $1500 was spent between the two stores alone.
  20. Ya...corner of E 69 and Euclid...It looked like the building was just being renovated in the "pic" of it posted at the site, but they definitely dug into the grass on the site. I'll pay more attention this weekend when I'm out that way:)
  21. Also, I forgot....When I was driving down Euclid the other day, the site across from the Tech Park that has just been a picture for the last year or so started moving dirt around.
  22. I've never seen lights or activity at Emerald. Strange, unless it is not complete. I can't find any info on it doing a google search except for the plans and Cleveland Planning Comission info.
  23. Families love North Colinwood. It's a good mix of renovated, middle class, and lakefront roads. My partner lives in South Collinwood and I've never had a problem. Although, I've never really felt threatened anywhere in Cleveland...even E55.
  24. Now you're in my mind...I was going to say it, but thought it may come across corny haahaha
  25. And as a quick sidenote: The zoo had one of their four biggest years in history in 2011. People will go as long as it's a quality product. It's right off of 2, so it's even more convenient than the zoo.
