  1. I work in the industry. Without working for the airline, it would be just as effective for you to go to a non-busy Frontier gate agent and just ask. Just FYI. Wouldn't that have been easier to say?
  2. I saw it for the first time going northbound on the interstates yesterday. Looks good! Can't wait til the RNC is done to see more!!!
  3. ^ People talk, industry knowledge. They were just asking.
  4. I don't consider the Cleveland loss significant at all. The city has been losing tens of thousands of people per decade. To "only" be at just over 8,000 people lost at the halfway point is actually quite encouraging. To add to that, thousands are expected to fill apartments and condos under development now. It's quite possible by 2020 for the drops to slow or even stop. Cincinnati is very encouraging as well.
  5. Michelle's take: Clinton Avenue project will add 70 apartments in Ohio City by spring 2017 (photos) http://www.cleveland.com/business/index.ssf/2016/05/clinton_avenue_project_will_ad.html#incart_river_home
  6. ^^Awesome! I've been wondering how that was coming along, but hadn't been by recently.
  7. Haha...I know nothing. I just meant with this development, the stone building is safe. But who knows about the future.
  8. At least the stone property is safe (for now).
  9. Why not? That's like saying I shouldn't have a pool because there's only five months of swimming weather. I personally love having a pool and I'm sure those who love boating would prefer to be able to walk out their building and go instead of going to the storage facility and then out. It's a convenience. That said, I get the first part of your statement but Cleveland NEEDS to think outside of the box to become a new world class city.
  10. I don't think most people actually look at lines...that or they just don't care. I almost get hit every single day at West Creek Lane and Rockside in Indy bc people don't read signs or follow lines. I need to get back downtown to see the updated striping in person.
  11. And here we go!!! Nautica plan calls for residential complexes "Saying it is time to move the vision for the west bank of the Cuyahoga River from entertainment district to residential mixed-use district, Nautica developer Jeffrey Jacobs has unveiled a Nautica master plan calling for new towers upwards of 10 stories — with some as high as 20 — and 664 rental apartments. The new plan would retain major features of Nautica, such as its massive former railroad powerhouse and amphitheater, but add an estimated $405 million in additional real estate development to the 22-acre riverfront site." http://www.crainscleveland.com/article/20160509/NEWS/160509849/nautica-plan-calls-for-residential-complexes#utm_medium=email&utm_source=ccl-morningroundup&utm_campaign=ccl-morningroundup-20160509 *Edit...whoops wrong thread. There are too many :/
  12. Awesome news!! Ridiculous it was ever an issue. Cleveland apartment plan gets ready to roll "An investor group that includes real estate developer Fred Geis and his son Ethan Geis announced it will break ground Friday, May 6, for a 70-suite apartment complex at 3007 Clinton Ave. in Ohio City....Over the course of the last year, Fred Geis had observed that if he did not secure approvals to build the apartments he would continue to operate the existing building as a home for commercial uses." http://www.crainscleveland.com/article/20160505/NEWS/160509882/cleveland-apartment-plan-gets-ready-to-roll#utm_medium=email&utm_source=ccl-dailynews&utm_campaign=ccl-dailynews-20160505
  13. About time they announced that.
  14. Chronic homelessness and Severe Mental Illness, similar to their other locations (one is on Euclid by Aldi). I think they usually do a pretty good job with design all things considered. http://www.cleveland.com/pdrealestate/plaindealer/index.ssf/2014/08/eden_starts_demolition_for_newest_project_to_aid_chronic_homeless.html
  15. Right...it's the same issue with the 90 Westbound MLK Dr off-ramp. They cannot seem to grasp that they do not stop. W14th roundabout seems to work *okay* but still not great.
  16. If they turned them on, I would agree with you- but they don't. Leave them up all year and not in use and they get destroyed in the elements, then you have to take them down the next year anyways because they've stopped working. To me it just seems tacky to keep them up on random light poles throughout the year with no reason, especially when they were hastily wrapped in the first place. I guess I'm in the minority for wanting better standards. I suppose you're also ok with those concrete planters on Euclid/9th sitting empty sporadically through the year and becoming makeshift trashcans? :-) Eh, come on now. You're twisting what I said (or didn't say). I didn't know they weren't lit....haven't noticed. IF they are lit, that's one thing. Leaving them up unused is stupid. I absolutely do not like the empty planters and 150% agree Cleveland needs a backbone against developers and higher standards overall.
  17. I personally enjoy lights. If they're not green and red with wreaths, I don't know that I see the issue. Especially in the currently gross section between 9th and 12th.

Yea, it's horrible right now for inventory. Are they not looking at Shaker because of taxes? That's where the real inventory is for what they're looking for and Shaker is selling like hotcakes. Lakewood is basically selling as soon as it's listed. It's an interesting market right now!

I could recommend a great realtor I used who is a resident of Lakewood if they don't already have one.
  20. Since the article didn't mention...they are located at 2077 E. 4th St., STE 4E. Awesome news though!
  21. Why do we nearly always lose to the Twins???
  22. Great news!!! It's about time. Hopefully demand is high showing the need for more units.
  23. Cleveland Heights considers major development project "The eastern suburb has released what’s called a request for qualifications and preliminary development proposals for the “Top of the Hill,” a four-acre site at the top of Cedar Hill at the corner of Cedar Road and Euclid Heights Boulevard, one-and-a-half miles from University Circle. It is at the west end of the Cedar-Fairmount retail district, which includes a Dave’s Supermarket, Nighttown restaurant and Zoss the Swiss Baker." http://www.crainscleveland.com/article/20160425/NEWS/160429869/cleveland-heights-considers-major-development-project#utm_medium=email&utm_source=ccl-morningroundup&utm_campaign=ccl-morningroundup-20160426
  24. DHG Healthcare of Atlanta to open second Cleveland office DHG Healthcare, the national health care consulting practice of the Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP accounting firm of Atlanta, said in a news release that it’s opening an office to support existing business in Cleveland and, more broadly, the upper Midwest. The new office builds on the practice’s Center for Industry Transformation (CIT) at the Global Center. The CIT provides education to health care professionals on issues of strategy, financing, marketing and technology that advance the delivery of health care. The Key Tower office will start with 10 consultants with an opportunity to expand to 25. The CIT at the Global Center has three employees. http://www.crainscleveland.com/article/20160420/NEWS/160429986/dhg-healthcare-of-atlanta-to-open-second-cleveland-office
  25. Love it! But it annoys me when they use green roofs in the renderings and never follow through lol.
