Wow, they've cleared out that deck. The back bar and stage are gone!! Have there been any renderings of their plans for the building or outside deck area??

I'm going to keep an eye on their calendar. It's going to be interesting to see the artists that they get scheduled for the Globe Iron!!

These buildings have been neglected for a while. It's nice to see work being done on them!!

Definitely sad to see (and read) all the "issues" with this building and how it's being run. It seems like there are changes that could be made to "fix" things. Hopefully they can turn things around before they get too much of a bad reputation!!

Nice to see some money being put back into Shooters. It had been neglected for a while!!

I joined the Planet Fitness in Rocky River over the summer knowing I would be moving to Lakewood. Then they moved to Fairview Park. While it isnt that much farther, it's still not ideal. I'd think a Lakewood location would do well.

That has always been an interesting location. I remember going there years ago when it was more of a sports bar. I believe it's changed (at least) twice since then. I'm sure the location is at least partially behind the frequent changes. Hopefully the Whiskey Bar will stick around for a while!!

I noticed that last week too. It reminded me of a post (possibly in this thread) with pictures of all the different street lights used downtown. There were something like 8 different street light designs. Strange!!

I actually noticed last week that the Huntington branch in 200 Public Square had it's upstairs part of the branch open. Only the ground floor branch was previously in use, the upstairs had been dark for the past couple of years. I figured them opening was an indication that business was good!! But it must have been the people from the other branch moving over. Either way, it's nice to see that part of the office in use again!!

FYI, this was from last Friday, so it was a quickly completed job!! Hopefully that means the crews can move on to other repairs in the area!! 😀

I saw this being worked on on Friday. FINALLY!!! Those crews could probably spend the next month working their way down Euclid patching various things up!!

Growing up in Lorain, I remember playing in the International Soccer Tournament each summer and also attending the International Festival. Always enjoyed the parade and the variety of foods there at the festival!!

I love this view looking west down Euclid. It fills that gap over Public Square perfectly!!

Metropolis is / was on Spruce Ave, so not sure it's going to be taken down. I have always held out hope that it'd be reopened as a club at some point. Not looking good now though!!

From their website, they seem to be open M-F from 11am - 2pm.

Yep, the trees will definitely have more of a presence than if there were smaller plants / flowers in the planters. And again with leaves on the trees it'll bring some life to the area!! I agree, I hope they're cared for and can handle some of the winds down in that area!!

More of these planters have been put down both sides of Ontario between Prospect and Public Square and I even saw a few heading East a bit on Euclid (in front of The May). It'll be nice once the trees in the planters get some leaves on them!!
