I was down at Jacobs (Nautica) Pavilion for the 311 concert this past Sunday. Here's a couple of pics of the E&Y building from the show. A nice outdoor venue, with decent views of the city. Just a little bit different angle of the building from down there.

Shooters actually does have a few steps down to the boardwalk at the edge of the river. And I stand corrected. From the FEB webcam, it does appear that the tree and flag are up on the building. http://www.flatseast.com/webcam.htm

Topping out In building construction, topping out (sometimes incorrectly referred to as topping off) is a ceremony held when the last beam is placed at the top of a building. The term may also refer to the overall completion of the building's structure, or an intermediate point, such as when the roof is dried in.[1] A topping out ceremony is usually held to commemorate the event. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Topping_out Topping out is when the last/final beam is placed. This building might have reached its final height, but the final beam hasnt been placed yet?? :wtf:

The attendance at the Indians game last night was just about 30,000. Combine the people from the game with people out at the casino and those just out enjoying an 80 degree Cleveland evening and I can only imagine what it was like last night!!!

From a cleveland.com article on 10-14-10 Cleveland planners approve concept for futuristic 'pixelated' windows on medical mart "Cleveland planners gave tentative approval Thursday for a medical mart building that would add a dramatically modern flair to a mostly conservative downtown. Updated plans show a "pixelated" pattern of windows, evoking DNA coding, for three sides of the medical showroom planned for the corner of St. Clair and Ontario avenues." http://blog.cleveland.com/metro/2010/10/cleveland_planners_approve_con.html

On the way into work today, I saw some new trees were planted down the middle of Chester between aprox E.55th and E.85th. There were only a few planted, but a few additional holes waiting for trees!!! Now if they could just repave Chester ... :wtf:

That almost looks like a "Vegas style" building!!! I know that "The Gateway at Landmark" building wont be built, but something on that corner would be nice. As Phase II is being built, that piece of "property" might become more and more valuable. So hopefully something will built on that corner.
